Coffee#1 Dorchester in West Dorset

The service was slow. Not enough staff tables were dirty with left behind cups and plates.

Good service delivery from the staff apart from they did not reward me with my purchase points, the small order seemed a bit pricey from my last visit.

For your attention.Service is great, the coffee superb and the atmosphere very relaxing with appropriate music.SO WHY 3 STARSMy wife visited the ladies toilet at 8.50am and the floor was discussing (Not been cleaned for days) and toilet rolls just shoved on the side, no effort to fit them into appropriate place.Hygiene in this climate is a must! If this is not tackled, I'm sure many people who changed from #Costa will return reluctantly.

Arrived at 1030 am fairly busy but i got served quick. staff was pleasant and helpful, it was reasonably priced. The toilets were clean. And with plenty of soap and hot water the hand dryer was nice and warm. A very pleasant visit

Coffee absolutely lovely. Luke was very welcoming, excellent customer service. Very clean and nice relaxing music. Made me want to buy second Coffee.

Much better second visit after lock down finishee.The other shop had closed and searched for coffee 1. Clean, tidy with seating outside and in. They do everything the shops do in Wales, even bought the cakes to go with the tea. Amazing.

Not having visited for a while I had forgotten how nice their coffee is. Service was good, although I had to wait while a member of staff made the coffee very slowly because he was chatting to a friend.

Very tasty coffee, nice to sit out in winter sunshine. They have 'made gluten free' items, but no guarantee of non contamination. This is too risky for a coeliac friend. A shame. There should have wrapped gluten free. NOT good enough.UPDATE 16/5/22. Ordered americano with cold milk. Noticed milk jug chipped, poured from it, then saw the jug was filthy dirty, to begin with thought it was a shadow. Then scraped through the grime with my finger nail! Brought it.to attention of waiter who was clearing tables outside (didnt even wipe tables). Enquired and told manager not in, so asked senior person to be told immediately. Turned out to be person that served me! They failed to come and talk to me. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Hardly #1 standards is it?

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of cakes, pastries and slices. Nice place to catch up and a good central location. Large number of tables inside. Outside seating is the weather is OK and extra seating tucked around the back. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Kids drinks on the menu. First choice for coffee and a cake with my kids.

Perfect place to start the day with coffee, a warm snack and a good book. Great coffee, plenty of other hot and cold beverages and a wide choice of savoury and sweet fare mean there is something for everyone. Despite there being only one person serving and several customers when I made my early morning visit, the service was polite and efficient. Plenty of tables with an eclectic mix of chairs. Walls have an array of interesting quotes on them, along with artwork from book covers.
