·

Closed using covid as excuse. I am stuck here with child and haven't eaten for 10 hours. This is very poor.

I always enjoy the atmosphere in our Damers Restaurant. Friendly and cheerful staff. I hope when covid is over we can all go back to normality and sit together with our colleague and friend to celebrate life!đź’•Than you for you hard work.

6.30pm Tuesday 25th February 2020 I stood at the counter in front of the food while 2 girls foh stood chatting close by. I had to ask if it was self service or if I needed serving. A passing chef said these girls can help you. I got my food which in the end was self service and passed the same 2 foh girls again chatting and waited at the til. They carried on chatting forcing me to ask if I could pay for the food. Now I know that catering is not the best paid work but the customer service was none existant and somebody in a management position needs to look at re training staff. This also makes me wonder what other sub standard work is going on within this catering department. Catering staff should be motivated to do a good job, especially in a hospital or they could have serious problems on their hands.

Like any other hospital food luke warm and basic and bland and expensive for what you get, it's ok if you are there seeing family or friends who are in hospital but not good if your just looking for somewhere to eat

Extremely bizarre. Not a single item from the menu was available, the explanation being that they were busy serving patient meals - if so then why have a menu or be open at all? A sparse and seemingly random selection of mismatching half cold items was all we had available, with no cutlery. The one star is for the coffee from the lone working coffee machine.

Good hot food available all day, fresh prepared daily. Excellent value. I enjoyed Chicken & Leek Pie, followed by Rhubarb & Ginger Crumble with Custard, both of which were very good. For a total of about ÂŁ5. Bloody marvelous!

Whether you are visiting Dorset county hospital or not, if you are after a good meal, lunch or coffee... The Damers restaurant is ideal. A variety of dishes on offer each day and made with quality ingredients. The food is good and so are the staff. Friendly and welcoming. Plenty of seating in a relaxed setting. The cost of the food is excellent and you get value for money!

Called there for a cup of coffee. As was lunchtime, the food on the servery looked very good and nicely presented. I didn't eat on this occasion so would not be fair to comment further.

Not bad for omnivores but vegan food is relegated to "we have vegetables!". In a place catering for hundreds of people, most of whom have little choice about where they can go to eat, they really need to up their game.
