Fernhill Hotel Restaurant in West Dorset

The Fernhill Hotel, Charmouth rooms, service, food, swimming pool and staff were excellent and we had the most perfect wedding weekend.

We booked the whole place for our car club and they did a great job looking after us. The food was a pre-order from two limited menus, but so well done, we had no complaints. The room was very clean and spacious well aired and our room had a spa bath, great fun.

Lovely relaxing hotel, food was amazing way beyond it's 3 🌟 rating. Owners and staff couldn't be more welcoming. Good covid policy in place, great base to travel around Dorset and Devon or sit by the pool. Highly recommend this Hotel.

Had a very good 2 night stay at the Fernhill. Excellent room, lovely swimming pool, great food and a very comfortable atmosphere with excellent service and very efficiently and hospitably run.

Just had a lovely week at this delightful hotel. Comfortable bed, clean well appointed, room with lots of storage space. The food was excellent with a good choice, but the real stars are the staff - for whom nothing was too much trouble.

We really enjoyed our stay. Jo and Rob were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was a bit limited but I understand that was because of covid and staff shortages. The room was lovely and clean. There could do with being more drawer space, especially for those who were staying a bit longer. Also the bathroom was very small. That was just our room. I suspect that other rooms had larger bathrooms. Although I have mentioned a couple of things that could be improved we would definitely stay at Fernhill Hotel again.

We stopped for a few days in July 21. The reception was very efficient. The meals can not be faulted. Rob and Jo made us very welcome and were always on hand if anything was required. Under the Covid circumstances an excellent job. A BIG THANK YOU to both of you we had a much deserved break.

Excellent. A short notice booking, fortunately nabbing the last room.Hotel has a comfortable, relaxed feel, mixing formal & informal styles.Room was spotless, well provided for & application of Covid rules applied efficiently.But most of all - staff. Hosts are the welcoming & well organised head of a very pleasant team - including their Chef providing a menu well beyond our expectations. We tasted the vast majority of dishes & not once did the standard skip a well honed beat!Definitely recommended.

Hotel is lovely, staff are super, location is great, free parking on site.We booked the Spa room which is very spacious and clean. Comfy bed with nice linen. Decor is a little tired. The bubble bath is fun but a bit small. Good shower.We would stay again but probably wouldn't worry about getting the spa room as felt it was a bit expensive for what it was.
