Best Chinese shop in town. Great service, food always hot, not greasy, lovely tasty Chinese food. Will never go anywhere else.

Ordered from this place tonight the duck dish only had 4 small bits of duck which was under cooked, the sauce in the dish was a nasty grey colour plus the chicken balls where dripping with oil took this straight back for a full refund AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS PLACE USE TO BE GOOD NOW ITS TERRIBLE

No favour just simple noodles with some bean shoots chicken and tasteless jelly stock on top. Sweet & sour sauce taste like vinegar with bits of onion and cucumber in

Absolutely appalling food . Had a beef curry and most of it large chunks of onion . Bloated out with cheap ingredients . This used to be the best in Dorchester now never going to use it again.

I have been going to the golden lotus for 20+ years! The food never fails. Since moving away from Dorchester I always make sure I get a takeaway whenever I'm staying close by. Prices are reasonable and service is quick.

Food was very bland, tasteless and grey, very disappointed. One dish was in satay sauce which doesn't look like any satay we've ever eaten and the veg in the veg dish were also undercooked.

I tried the golden lotus for the first time last night. I had there shredded crispy lamb and seaweed also the Singapore noodles. I have to say that there Singapore noodles was spot on and extra hot just like I requested. The lamb and seaweed was also very tasty. I would definitely use them again.

This used to be the best Chinese! Decided to have Chinese tonight after a few months of not having it. Wish we hadn't! It was a 20 minute drive to collect, got home to find 2 portions of sweet and sour chicken were missing. Phoned up, was told there was nothing left behind. Got cut off on the phone, so travelled 20 mins back into Dorchester as half the meal was missing and we had hungry guests. The lady behind the counter was apologetic, but another woman there (a chef) argued that she had cooked the chicken, therefore we MUST have had it. You may have cooked it, but it didn't end up in our order! We wouldn't drive all the way in to get two free portions of sweet and sour! Food wasn't even that tasty, and very dry. Prices have shot up too. Such a shame as this used to be the best Chinese in town. Better off using China Express or Ruby House. This is where we will be going next time.

Coming from a Singaporean this may be a little harsh but the quality of Asian noodles here is shockingly disappointing. Ingredients that went in it like lean chicken slices, tiny shrimps and vegetables were clearly not fresh, and the noodles were either well overcooked or of terrible quality.

So we travelled all the way from Bovington tonight as was told this was a good Chinese. We ordered 2 special fried rices a curry sauce and a satay sauce, when we got home we found that none of the sauces were right I don't even know what sauces they were either, they didn't really have any flavour to them. Then there was the rice, it was like eating cardboard, well over done no flavour again what so ever, it had carrots in it which I've never had before and to make it worse they were rock hard so not good I had to leave it all. The only thing I can say was good about them was that they didn't take long to make it, not sure if that is because we were the only customers in there or not though. Very disappointed
