Stopped here for lunch on the drive home after a day out. Very friendly staff, who offered amazing service. The food was just incredible, locally sourced and a wide variety to choose from. Indoor area seemed nice, but we sat outside where there was ample space with parasols on all tables. Large carpark. so glad to have stopped. And will be visiting again with family.

Fantastic, friendly pub. Food is excellent and they are great when dealing with allergies and special requests. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed but attentive. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner and Sunday roast. Rooms are very clean and superior ones very stylish.

Stayed here for 3 nights. We were made most welcome by Dean and Emma (and Steve). Great atmosphere, great food. The Sunday Carvery is highly recommended. (Proper crackling too!)

Great place for lunch. Very friendly service, with tasty, well cooked food and some local ales. We sat in the sunny beer garden. Dog was made welcome.

Dean Mortimer runs an exceptional ship. 3 real Ales in superb condition and a well priced menu with decent portions. A cosy, homely pub where within 5 mins the Landlord knew my name and made me feel I'd been a local for years. That my friends is truly an Art!

Excellent food and very welcoming. Dog friendly and a great pint. What more do you need on a cold February afternoon

Had wanted to visit this pub for a while , so popped in for lunch. Menu very good plus a Burns Night option. My partner went for the slow cooked Belly of Pork which was lovely. I opted for the salmon fillet with prawns in puff pastry. My choice was very disappointing as a sauce over the top of the pastry made it soggy. The salmon inside was a huge piece but was dry. I passed my comments on but was still charged full price for my half eaten plate. We did have puddings and I felt that a gesture of maybe a complimentary pudding at least would have gone towards our thinking to go back and try again at some point as we are pretty local. After being charged full price I dont think we will bother again. I must say staff all great so no reflection upon them at all. Just feel very disappointed.

It wasn’t a stay, it was lunch. There were 7 of us, we meet for lunch once a month. 3 people sent the food back because it was cold. The replacement was no better. One had tuna which was like overcooked cardboard. 3 had gammon, most of it was left because it was over cooked and chewy. One had a huge lump of fat. The apple crumble was nice. The bill was very high even with a small amount off for the poor food.

Excellent! The food is great. The venue is lovely. The manageress is very kind and tolerant towards my children. And a really nice couple complimented me on my management of the children as well as telling the bar staff. Fab evening and a really wonderful feel good factor to go home with. Thanks again Hunters Moon!
