Amazing food, the best staff - whether a takeaway or eating in (BYOB!) you can’t go wrong with this curry house.

·

The best Indian food I've ever had, absolutely amazing. Warm and friendly staff, great price, lovely atmosphere. Just brilliant all round.

This is a quaint little restaurant in the equally quaint town of Lyme Regis. The food is good, the prices are quite reasonable and the staff are engaging and friendly. I'd really recommend a visit. Will definitely visit again when down this way.

Giving one star because they managed to not mess up the rice and poppadoms - mainly because I don’t think they cooked the lime pickle. Everything else made this possibly the worst curry I’ve ever eaten. The saag paneer was canned creamed spinach with a few chewy lumps of paneer (tasted of nothing), and the mushroom curry tasted like Heinz tomato soup with a few pieces of frozen pre-sliced mushroom. The chickpeas tasted of nothing??? Like HOW? I don’t understand how this spot has so many good reviews. It was honestly so dreadful, we paid halfway through our meal just so we could get out.

Excellent restaurant! The food is delicious (naan bread especially fresh) and service good. Highly recommend.

Lovely meal her on out first night. Only place we could get in. They generously found us a table and it was busy busy. You can bring your own drinks here.

Great food. Super helpful staff. Options for veggies and vegans. Best to book for Fri and Sat as popular with locals and visitors. BYOB there are several nearby shops including Lyme's Good Wine aswell as Tesco & Co-op.

5 stars really is the least you can give to Lal Quilla based on the food. It's premium quality at a good price. If you're eating in, book ahead. We had a party of ten which is the largest I think they'd be able to accommodate in one long table. The interior is tight and busy, not least because it was a full house on a Saturday evening but also because the takeaway customers have to come in to the main restaurant to collect which means their front door is continually opening and closing. Our table was right next to the door but I have to say the breeze was welcome relief in what is a warm environment. The environment is also noisy when it's full, while the service is a little slow on account of how popular they are. Bring your own alcohol, and if it needs chilling they were more than happy to do so. These guys are great.

Staff were really helpful, allowing us to book the table by the window away from everyone else as we are shielding. The food was excellent, especially the palak (buttery creamy cheesy spinach sauce). Very reasonably priced too.

An excellent ‘traditional’ Indian restaurant. The staff are very friendly, the service very good and the food excellent. No drinks licence so remember to take your own tipple. Very reasonable cost be it ‘eat in’ or ‘takeaway’.
