Mangerton mill in West Dorset

Really nice coffee and tea cake. Beautiful setting with an interesting museum.

Has a working water wheel on the plus side, a small collection of old tools...but no real organisation of anything I could see. Just randomly placed with zero explanation.

Interesting old mill that you can look round (£2.50 cash needed for honesty box). Lovely café with friendly service and nice food. Nice short trail along river. Overall a lovely spot.

Very disappointed with the standard of the food and service today. Scones were so dry and lemon drizzle cake wasn't great either. Long wait for food. Coffee arrived ages before cakes. In previous years we've always enjoyed eating here. Won't be returning here next time we are in Dorset.

An unassuming site of rural country lanes, with more available to do than could be expected. Marvelous working watermill with a museum, containing many of the historical works as well as other period pieces. Then there is the cafe (glorious cakes and latte), art galleries, craft shop and large pond to walk around. We had to visit twice to take it all in. Almost worth buying a caravan in order to stay on site.

Afternoon tea, fresh scone, jam & cream just the job! Plenty of other home made choices. Nice setting in the sunshine too.

Lovely walk along the river and around the millpond. Plenty of seating and well kept area. Art and craft barns on site. Also a lovely tearooms, with delicious home cooked meals and light bites at reasonable prices .

Lovely peaceful place off the beaten track. Very friendly service and generous helpings of great food.
