New Inn Cerne Abbas in West Dorset

Welcoming and friendly.Tasty food but portions just a little minimal. This suited us, but it may not be ok for big appetites.Prices slightly above average.We would go again.

This was a fantastic, restful place to stay at the end of a whirl wind trip across the UK. The service, room, food, and beer were all the best of our trip! I highly recommend and encourage a stay.

I had one of the smaller rooms over the main bar. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and the food was superb. I thoroughly recommend dinner and breakfast and for that matter any other meal you can get here. I will certainly stay here again.

A lovely stay!We stayed for 2 nights and it was wonderful. The Wrackle room was so beautiful and the shower was superb.(one suggestion would be to fully frost the lower window panels for a bit more privacy looking onto the street). But we were very happy and comfortable otherwise. The pub is so cosy and the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was splendid, especially the included breakfast! Can’t recommend this place enough! And situated in such a pretty little village with fantastic historical walks. STUNNING! Thank you

Owners are absolutley brilliant! The atmosphere and setting - spot on. Food amazing and really reasonably priced. Local food & game available. What's not to love! Child friendly aswell!!

Great lunch menu but be warned, they call them sandwiches but they are really large ciabbeta style rolls which are very filling!

Stayed one night in October found our room to be big and very clean comfortabe bed . Could have done with two chairs not one to sit in. Coffee and tea and fresh milk provided. Shower /wet room was very large exceedingly clean and lovely fluffy white towels. only one thing the shower did flood the floor due to short shower curtains. Breakfast was delicious, evening meal was nice good fish and chips. staff were very friendly. On the whole a lovely stay. Would return.

I enjoyed lunch here with my Mother. We had a sharing platter which was excellent. Great touches for example homemade bread rolls and beautiful presentation. The staff were friendly and efficient. I will definitely return in the near future.

Arrived mid afternoon and we sat in the top garden in the sunshine, the service was fantastic as were the meals we had at dinner and breakfast. Staff were very professional but also had time to talk to you making you feel very welcome. Vert spacious patio for dining outside.Rooms very well laid out and spacious.The hotel commands style in this village of Cerne Abbas and will look forward to returning once again.

Lovely historical hotel in a charming village. Staff were friendly, food was good and the bar outdoor seating was relaxed. We had an old room with a lot of character, but probably not as comfortable as some of the newer rooms they have.
