New Street Bakery in West Dorset

Best place in town for toasties and cakes! Everything I've had has been really nice! Best carrot cake I've ever had!

I've never not had something from here that hasn't tasted nice. That said, I always feel very uncomfortable as if I've offended the staff in some way to the point it is off-putting, which is a great shame.

We visited the bakery today after hearing good things! I was served by a gentleman who I gathered owned the shop or manager as he bossing around and had attitude with his employees, also I wanted to pay by cash and couldn't see a problem doing so as there no signs stating I couldn't! The man kept bluntly kept repeating contactless contactless even though I had money in my hand! I asked if I could pay cash and he went on and on and on about contactless so I then paid contactless and then I asked have you stopped taking cash he then starting to lecture me on hygiene, as I was trying to leave the shop and was walking up the path he was shouting out of the shop at me saying money is the dirtiest thing on the planet! I will not be visiting again and I will make others aware of the bad customer service I received.

Amazing quality, classic bakery selection, reasonably priced as well. Staff are lovely! Very popular so recommend off-peak times

My other half regularly has the best Mississippi Mud pie ever and I love the Cherry Bakewell cake. Staff exceptional, Clare & Meg are always smiling at front of house supporting Jason who owns the property and bakes on site. We are very fortunate to have this artisan business in our local town. Please try them out.

Amazing service! The bread was melt -in -your -mouth light and delicious. I also saw some Mississippi Mud cake that I will have to try next time. 5****

Always friendly service, fresh food and amazing cakes! I've been visiting for a couple of months now, and never disappointed! Good portion sizes and value money. Claire and Jason always friendly and chatty would definitely recommend.

Food was fantastic, I turned up early Saturday morning the older gentleman was extremely rude and that's saying something I live in London...... but the younger man that served me was absolutely delightful. he would get 5 stars

Delicious ultra fresh bread, often still warm from the oven, freezes perfectly for long term storage when we can’t get out due to isolation.Great to see a local business doing well and providing a real service to those who appreciate proper high quality bread as it should be. No additives !!

Just bought jacket spud with beans and cheese along with carrot cake, really good price and very, very tasty spud and beans. Cake was great as well!!! - thanks guys👍
