Lovely staff and absolutely delicious food! The falafel was especially good. It was a little noisy inside but it just showed how popular it was! Definitely book ahead :)

Best sticky toffee pudding I have ever had (and I have tried quite a few)! Delicious food, fantastic service and friendly staff. Highly recommend this place and credits to the chefs for the outstanding food!

Excellent service with a warm welcome. Dogs very welcome and water offered. The fish and chips, best I've ever tasted. Cloak rooms beautifully decorated and clean. Definitely will be back again.

Warmly welcomed along with our 2 dogs. Fish and chips was delicious. Fresh fish, hot chips, tasty peas. The seafood pasta was very tasty, full of prawns, cockles and mussels. The sauce was amazing! Dogs happy, we're happy.

5* amazing food and amazing service. I’m a celiac and they made sure all my food was safe. Large gluten free menu. Food was so tasty and crab sandwich was out of this world! Lovely service and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the team :)

It was great to find a restaurant that caters for both gluten and dairy intolerances. Also the chef was very accomodating for cooking my burger for a little longer, as I couldn't eat it cooked medium rare, and didn't see that's how it came written on the menu, until after my partner pointed it out to me. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Lyme Regis.

We chose the pilot boat as been going there for many years when we meet up with our family from andover. Even though the refurbishment is absolutely first rate the price of the food was very overpriced small piece of fish and chips £16 and crab sandwiches £12 and very poorly presented good job I added chips. My sister in law chose the mini pizza pie and added a salad (leaves) for £4 and the pie crust was so thick she couldn't cut it. I appreciate that times have been very tough these last two years but £80 for sandwiches a small meal and a regular meal with drinks is extortionate

We popped in for a sandwich lunchtime and despite being very busy we were seated and served promptly and professionally. Our sandwiches were freshly made and tasty and we were admiring the quality of food going to tables near to us. This was our first visit here and would definitely recommend paying the Pilot Boat a visit when in Lyme Regis.Thank you all 👍

Popped in for a quick bite to eat, solo diner. Warm welcome and polite staff on arrival. Table was clean as were the guest facilities. I ordered the scampi as a main with a pint of lime and soda. Came in under £20 good value for money and decent portion size.

We were a table of eleven (two families) and were disappointed not to be offered children's menus/options. In the end we ordered two adult pizzas for three children to share but were not given an extra plate. The food and drinks we did order were not good value. The lime and soda water cost the same as the beer! The large squash salad that cost £14 had two more salad leaves than the small squash salad which cost £7- it was just on a larger plate. The burgers were also very small for £14 each. They came with quite a small portion of chips and no salad garnish, so the plates looked very empty! Our waitress was clearly unwell and losing her voice as well as the will to live. It's a real shame as the decor and atmosphere were lovely and with your local food credentials we were looking forward to a tasty and filling lunch.
