Room is lovely - food excellent. I love the Italian small plate concept

Just stayed here for 2 nights , so we could go on the Mat Follas foraging course. We had a great room, the food and service were both exceptional - their small plates are inspired and great value. Would highly recommend.

Amazing pub/restaurant in Sherborne. Italian tapas is something I'd never tried before but everything was really tasty. Hard to pick highlights - aubergine caponata, cauliflower salad, meatballs, sea bream, burrata... all were excellent. Plenty for my vegetarian partner and washed down with tasty sicilian red wine! The courtyard is a really well looked after garden with pretty lights - it's perfect on a summer's evening! We'll be back!

Traditional looking pub selling small plates of tapas style Italian food. It was all enjoyable although a little pricey.

If you want mediocre Italian food, there are places not far away that can do that. If you want to go on a taste adventure, then this is the place to find it! Choose from a huge variety of exquisite dishes, each with its own story. The most amazing meal I've ever had! A real departure from the usual unimaginative Italian style.

We arrived for lunch but the kitchen was closing as it was 2.30pm they very kindly took our orders and we sat in the beautiful courtyard garden in the bank holiday sunshine enjoying two bowls of delicious meatball pasta. The menu looked so good we will definitely be back when in the area and recommend. Excellent service, very clean and dog friendly.

We turned up today without any reservation with two friends for lunch. We were taken to a lovely courtyard, where not only did we eat the best food we have eaten in any pub/restaurant but the service was excellent too. Great staff , great food , we will return.

I took a friend for lunch. We ordered a few starter dishes which were great. Then had the meat balls and spaghetti.. extremely salty was the review from myself and my friend. An older woman came over I gave feedback she said.. Well the chef disagrees. I said it is not only me my friend also agrees .. in which her reply was.. well we have a team and we all disagree..Then she waved her hand at me and said ill get the manager. Sarah then came and managed the situation very badly, negatively and quite frankly ruined our lunch. We asked immediately for the bill.. in which we left all our orders not touched and she not only charged us full price but also the cheek of adding service which was appalling. I'm extremely disappointed. And from not only being treat badly on a number of occasions.. as a local I'm forced to now never come back. After spending alot of money here and taking family and friends here.. I will not be recommending again. Which is very sad. But when you go out you expect nice service and friendly welcome not entitlement and rude staff. I hope Nick the owner takes these comments and no other customer has to get this same treatment. Also I will add a waitress also playing with her nose ring all the time and wearing it at work should not be allowed either.

An amazing lunch that started at 12:30 and finished at 7:30. Great food, great staff and great ambience. Definitely go there again. Thanks girls
