It's a lovely hotel in a great location but has some issues with service and the 2 bedroom suites. It's kinda worth it if you have young children, but if you don't I'd advise to stay away. There's lot to do for little kids (swimming pool, creash, activity room, sand pit etc.) and the creash is fantastic (the staff are fantastic). The hotel has recently gone through a through renovation, which looks lovely. The issue with the 2 bedroom suites are they're shoved in loft so lots of low ceilings, but the worse is that it's super hot (no air conditioning and the windows don't open much at ally). It was 23c outside and the temperature in the babies room was 28c at 8pm. I dread to think what it would be like in a heatwave. Its also a shame that in an expensive room it's only a queen sized bed. The other issue we had repeatedly was general service, it almost felt as if there was no manager running the place. My wife had booked a massage, the booking was lost with no apology, our payment details (voucher code) although provided at booking also lost, no print out on checkout as printer not working - still have not received bill via email even though promised. Then in the common areas everytime we popped in for a coffee or soft drink during the day we'd have to hunt down staff to get served (plenty of staff but hiding out in the empty restaurant area). So basically a lovely hotel, the staff are lovely just unorganised and put aircon in the loft rooms and you'd be 5 star review hotel.

A lovely hotel surrounded by rolling country hill with a view of the see to the South. The hotel is clean and tidy and very comfortable. We were particularly grateful for and impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. They were always at hand to help and were amazing when helping us with our 20 month old baby. The best hotel we have stayed at with our son! Thank you for making the stay so good and giving us a much needed break and home away from home.

Some bits lovely, some bits not. The food at dinner was great but the service poor, delays for drinks and food, glasses poured and left, asked if we would like a desert, mistakenly thinking the main course had been finished. Starter lovely but tiny. Guests drunkenly shouting between rooms at midnight!! Really lovely well served breakfast though. Beautiful situation.

My husband bought me a birthday gift afternoon tea, very nice enjoyed very much. Unfortunately a gratuity was added to the final bill without permission or notification. We were affected and would have made our own contributions but just added to the bill is not on we being local residents to Weymouth will never use your services again.

A massive thank you again to Liam for swimming out to get Barney the naughtiest golden retriever who decided to go for an extra long swim today and to his colleagues for their kindness once Barney was back on dry land. You kindness was amazing, thank you 😊

Had a fantastic Matilda themed afternoon tea, service was superb, even delivered to us by the Chef, lovely, topped with a bottle of prosecco very enjoyable, priced at the higher end of the Afternoon Tea market & resistant to payment in cash, but took it.

It's a four-star hotel, and I think a four-star review is fair. The effort that goes into making it a family friendly hotel is significantly and this is the hotel's biggest strength, to my mind. The play room is huge and generously furnished with diversions suitable for any kids under 10. Bread is provided with dinner to placate hungry (or impatient) children. The crèche and breakfast club provide some welcome breaks from childcare duty. The location is also excellent, particularly for keen walkers and cyclists. I see the food reviews are mixed, and that was reflected in my experience: the fish of the day was very good while the vegetarian breakfast was a 'must try harder'. Prices for food are typical for a hotel, not cheap but not unreasonable. The standard of the rooms is probably the weakest area, which I see is reflected in the aggregate scores here. They aren't bad, but they equally aren't impressive. There is currently a major renovation underway, so I imagine this will change in the not too distant future. This shortcoming certainly wouldn't stop me coming again, but if you want a wow factor for a romantic getaway I'd bear it in mind.

Outstanding (as always!). Our happy place, so much to keep a busy boy entertained whilst also leaving me refreshed. We always feel so nurtured after a stay, nothing is too much trouble for this amazing team. Thank you MFM, we will see you soon.

Lovely location for quiet coastal walks and friendly, polite staff. This is a family friendly hotel so expect the sound of children. A little disappointed with slow service at breakfast.
