Bravo the Admiral Hood. We went there for a skittles match and were treated to a half decent alley, properly round balls and a generally excellent evening. The staff worked tirelessly all evening, the food was good and inexpensive. A great evening.

Came yesterday for dinner and it was closed at half 6 very disappointing as friends back home recommended it as we had our dog with us so ended up just having a ready meal cottage pie πŸ˜”

Really good in all aspects. Will be going again.

Just had the Sunday roast takeaway. Excellent. One pork and one turkey. Plus desert.

Have been coming with a friend for the last 10 years after having tried several places in the area and we get invited to other places and no where can beat the Sunday lunch here all for less than Β£10. Β£9.95 for large of Β£7.50 for small. You get the choice of rib of beef (none of this tough topside), leg of lamb, roast pork or roast turkey. And a choice of fresh proper runner beans, creamy cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, buttery mashed swede, peas, carrots, parsnips, new potatoes, roast potatoes served with homemade stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire and proper homemade gravy. You can pile your plate as much as you like, why anybody would want to go back for me is beyond me. I’d rather save room for one of their homemade puddings with a choice of ice cream, cream or custard for just Β£4.95.
