Not sure why this Pub gets so many 5 star reviews. Kids said Burgers were pretty good but I wouldn’t stray from there, fish and meat dishes were poor both in terms of quality of ingredients and flavours. The service was a bit rushed and lackadaisical as well even though the place wasn’t that busy. The location is great which is probably why they can serve the food the do, at high prices and people will still come.

One of those places that you want to hold close and keep secret, yet shout about because they deserve to do so well. Genuinely the best pub - it has it all; beautiful location, delicious food, and friendly, courteous service. Simply my favourite place. We return every year and will keep doing so for as long as we can. Thank you.

Came across this beautiful pub on a rainy windy late afternoon in March ,it was fabulous .ordered a drink and after reading the menu we decided to order food . I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed it .we had the chicken and leek pie with broccoli and carrots, a sharer for two . I have to say though everything was cooked to perfection the carrots blew me away, I have never tasted better . We were really looked after by the staff though it was very busy . 10/10. A big thank you to everyone for giving us such a wonderful memory.

We had the classic burger and fish and chips. Good portion sizes and very well cooked. Really enjoyed it. Definitely worth booking as gets very busy. Recommended.

Our favourite pub in Dorset. The food is fantastic and the staff are super friendly and always make sure you have everything you want, Matt and Pip are excellent hosts. Can't wait to visit later in the year, keep up the great work 👍

Really lovely food, with super friendly staff! Had yummy vegan options on all courses which was a huge bonus! Would definitely recommend if you're in or around the area. House service was top notch.

Cosy, historic pub, nice atmosphere and great food! Although the menu is a bit limited, what there is provides a good choice. We had the King Prawns and the Mussels for starters - what a good choice!!! It's only small, so booking is nearly always required.

Great pub, great food. Managed to sit outside for Sunday lunch - in january! Very busy but did not have to wait long and worth it.

Perfect serendipitous lunchtime stop - went to the beach for a quick dip and afterwards popped in to this pub. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the food was out of this world - a rich and tasty venison stew, absolutely perfect winter fodder, dumplings were amazing and the meat was rich and tender. We also had a vegetarian beetroot Wellington - very, very tasty, fantastic! We've been to Seatown many times in the past but it's the first time we've been in to the Anchor; we will definitely be calling again.

Nice pub but their parking was a horrible experience! The pub car park is controlled by a man at the entrance, he collects £5 which has to be cash? but the pub will refund it. They do not maintain their car park and it's very muddy in places, but the man followed us in and insisted that we park in a very muddy section where we got our wheels stuck on leaving. We had to go and see him to get help and he just told us that is our responsibility to drive our car and that he cannot help. We were lucky that a couple with a tow rope helped us out, but it was a really unpleasant experience and we would not return
