The Crown Inn in West Dorset

We have visited this pub several times and have never been disappointed with service or food. Helpful staff, clean bar/eating area, great choice on the menu.The toilets are really clean, and nice to have a separate sink/mirror/dryer per cubicle. Plenty of parking.Food always piping hot and very generous portions.

Came here for lunch with some friends after a nice walk at the weekend; lady on the bar was lovely and very helpful, good selection of ales and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. All of my party had different meals and all were very happy. So nice to come across a pub that isn't owned by one of the big chains and has a real local, friendly atmosphere inside. Support this place if you're in the area 🙂

Fantastic night, lovely food friendly staff and an amazing live Band. Didn't want to leave ( but had booked our taxi to take us home) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

A great atmosphere, been to this pub a few times, always a fun night out. Last time there was a live band, great people go there and meet at the Crown.

We were staying in the area for the weekend and found this pub for a Sunday dinner. Old traditional pub, nice warm welcome. We ordered a roast chicken and a roast pork dinner, both were really nice, tasted fresh and a good size.

Had a really good night out in here. Luckily in the same evening was a live band performing in here(got the t-shirt),great staff great service ..loved it. Definitely will visit again

Quick service and friendly staff. The vegetarian falafel burger was delicious, full of textures and flavours. Came with a beautifully dressed side salad and curly fries.

Visited while on holiday.The food was faultless and full of flavour. Great portions!We chose to have the prawn cocktail starter instead of a main as we liked the look of the syrup sponge and we were quite surprised when it came and it was the size of a main anyway.The pie was humongous and came with carrots, peas, green beans, cabbage and broccoli!!!The staff were also very polite and attentive. Great pub, highly recommended. Oh and also real onion rings, mmmmmm
