We very much enjoyed our get together at the Duchess of Cornwall. A large Inn with plenty of tables that are well spaced and also plenty of tables outside. The Menu had plenty of choice and the food was very well cooked and tasty.Would recommend.

The food was excellent but disabled people should be aware that there are no toilets on the ground floor. The lift was out of order. Surely a disabled toilet could be discreetly contrived on the ground floor. The service was unsmiling and surly and there were no table napkins just a communal roll ofKitchen paper. The food must be prepaid by card not cash at the bar and we were not asked if we wanted drinks. In all, this place has pretensios but any little country pub can do better.lift was out of order and the only toilets were up a long winding staircase. Surely a disabled toilet could have been installed on the ground

Loads of room but still pretty fully occupied when we visited for a late Monday lunch.Food was estimated to be taking 45 minutes so, since we only really wanted a sandwich, we bought a drink each and sneaked across the square to Waitrose where a couple of sandwiches could be had in about 45 seconds.Parking available in the square outside or nearby. A good range of food (if you have time to wait) and drinks.Friendly staff and immaculately kept lavatories.

We had an impromptu meal when passing through. What a pleasant surprise. The staff were superbly friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. Our meals were both well prepared and much appreciated. Thank you.

Ordered white cheese and pickle cob roll. Was rock hard couldn't bite into it and choked on the crumbs. Complained and ended up with a wholemeal sandwich which could have made at home for quarter of price. Not great experience and first time visit so prob would only go for a drink in future. My friend had roasted cauliflower salad but small tapas size when came out, she said it was nice but clearly for v small appetites.

Great looking hotel. The rooms are superb. The breakfast is not a buffet but cooked to order and food lovely. You have a choice of eating areas, balcony, huge upstairs dining area or ground floor bar area. Good atmosphere in the bar although bar closes 10:30 midweek and 11at weekends. The staff were friendly and service very good.

Excellent lunch. The pub is fantastic, a real gem. Loads of lovely touches to the decoration and the food was delicious. We had tapas plates to share. The building itself is bright and welcoming. Will definitely return!

Nice place but restaurant service very poor. There were four of us; the last two meals were served when the first couple had almost finished theirs and one was incomplete. It took TEN MINUTES for the chips ordered to be brought by which time the rest of that meal was almost cold.To be fair, the management deleted the cost of the chips and took 25% off the bill.
