The Giant Inn in West Dorset

Very pleasent place, quite modern inside. I have only been there once, I would go again for a pint for sure and am told the food there is very good by a local who uses the place. I shall certainly visit for food one day.

Really lovely pub, good food and great service. We were able to bring our two big dogs in even though we didn't have a reservation. The only reason I haven't given it a 5/5 is because there were not enough vegetarian options on the menu.

Still a welcoming and homely pub which can be attributed to the engaging staff and their interaction with customers. We'll done guys! Good menu & food too., plus 2 well kept real Ales. We remember visiting 20 years ago on a Real Ale tour of the valley. Not much has changed.

Great service, very friendly and helpful bar staff however the food was a bit mixed in terms of quality. The fish finger sandwich was awful and I ended up feeding the fish to my dog as it didn't taste great. My partner enjoyed his loaded chips though.

The best mushroom cream soup I've ever eaten. Good food, impeccable service, friendly staff ! I highly recommend it !!!

Lovely space & really nice staff. Risotto was lovely and our guests really enjoyed their pies. Desserts were very generous portions. Will definitely return

Of all three of the pubs in Cerne Abbas, this is the most genuine and the one that is used by the locals. The food is good value and well produced, the staff friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit

Great little pub.. Goid beer and greak skittle alkey which is free!! So a added bonus. Use it everytime we camp locally

Super evening. No complaints whatsoever. First time I've visited since new ownership. Lots of light and space. Superb salmon starter with nice fresh bread started followed by excellent steak pie - one of the best I've had. Highly recommended. Will be returning. Very pleasant staff.
