Family Easter break in Dorset, we booked a table of 4 At 3pm Easter Sunday knowing it would be busy, but they accommodated us. We actually arrived an hour early after a morning in West Bay but again they managed to find us a booth for 4. The hosts were great & I have to mention Bill he was brilliant. We sat at our table & our drink order was taken & delivered swiftly. We ordered our carveries & as soon as we received our tickets proceeded to the counter.Where we were met by a friendly chef. Nice to see a Chef smile. the counter looked clean well presented & a good choice of meats including med/rare topside & well done topside Turkey, gammon, pork. A good portion of meat on the plate & a well home made Yorkshire pudding. Great selection of veg & cooked perfectly green beans & broccoli that were actually green big thumb up ,roast potatoes pukka, all veg was. I must say it was a very professional & well run establishment great atmosphere great staff. We thoroughly enjoyed it & would recommend it to anyone going to that part of Dorset . We will definitely be back & again a big thank you to Bill & the team

Really friendly pub. Ollie the bar manager made us feel really welcome. He mixed great cocktails for the grown ups and really cool cocktails for our 2 young ladies. Food was lovely.

Food was good. But owner was a bit rude, told him I had three hairs that looked to be from someone's pubic region floating in my drink and he didn't believe me, had to fish it out for him. We asked him how big the portion of halloumi was, and he just didn't answer but said some sarcastic comment. Very confusing.People there were coughing into their hands then handling people's food and drinks as well, especially with COVID we thought that was a bit careless. But I can't entirely blame them, there didn't seem to be any places for them to sanitise their hands.

My smoked brisket burger was brilliant. Some of my companions meals could have been warmer. Great atmosphere and service very enthusiastic and friendly. Nice coffee. A very good lunch experience. If the meals had been served hotter it would have been at least 5 stars

Me and and partner visited on 22/09/21 I don't often feel compelled to write reviews but everything about our visit was absolutely phenomenal. We was greeted by a lovely friendly Waitress who seated us promptly in the perfect spot. Moving on to the food, it was absolutely fantastic I ordered the mac and cheese main and my partner the rump steak. These meals arrived quickly and was presented beautifully. Upon tasting it just got better and better. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth and the mac and cheese was the best I have ever had, it also came with home made garlic ciabatta which topped it off nicely. We ordered strawberry pavlova for dessert and might I add we was way to full for pudding but was so impressed we couldn't resist sampling dessert which again, DID NOT DISAPPOINT.honestly this is the best meal out we have had in a long time so much so that we will be visiting again before we travel home from our holiday. As someone that spent many years in hospitality from bar, Waitress and chef I am so thoroughly impressed with the absolutely smashing service from our server to the food and even our drinks.Thank you so very much for a memorable meal. And if you are reading this wondering whether this is the place you want to eat? Well the answer is an absolute yes.

Had an amazing smoked hake burger - the tempura samphire is an inspired addition! Great service and fab location with a sunny courtyard as well. Teen son enjoyed the chicken burger. Recommend.

Stopped by here for some dinner one evening and was pleasantly suprised. Opted to have a Chicken Caesar Salad with a side of cheesy chips and both were lovely and very satisfying. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! A good place if you want comfort food that is simple.
