Great Place to stay, very welcoming friendly and helpful, Sarah the Bar manager was brilliant, room was lovely and comfortable, met a few of the local regulars and again very friendly and treated me like a local. The food was so tasty, great portions and price, all locally sourced, good value for money, Breakfast was bang on aswell , Roy the landlord was very accommodating friendly and made me feel at home and relaxed.Great night great place to stay, would recommend a visit and stay, and will definitely go back if im working in the area.

Out of the way pub with good menu & lovely food: rump steak, ragu & Portobello mushroom. Must mention the barman Ben who kept us laughing while very attentive.

Found this great little pub just by accident and they were kind enough to serve us a very tasty roast a few minutes after last orders for lunch. The lamb was very tasty and tender, great selection of veg and dessert was fab. Great service, great food, will certainly go again.

Loved this pub, very quirky. Food superb, staff very cheerful and helpful. Probably need satnav to find it, but worth the effort. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Just stopped in for a pub lunch. Fantastic country pub with really good food (locally sourced sausages we're amazing). The staff were supper friendly. Of course being a country pub there were horses (with their riders) stopping for a refreshment. If you are local or it is on your way somewhere I'd definitely recommend popping in.

We had a lovely overnight stay here. Dinner was amazing and the room was very comfortable and quiet. It was so lovely to see the chickens wandering around in the morning. Breakfast was fabulous... the bacon was awesome. We'll definitely be going back to stay.

Nice quiet pub out in the sticks. Landlord is a decent guy, locals look at you a bit funny but a proper spit and feathers country local. Beer selection is limited, no one wants Carlsberg green on tap!Room was large and well equipped, could do with A/C for the summer months. Could do with regular maintenance. A socket in our room was loose, door lock was a bit knackered and not all lights in the bathroom were working. Could of done with a little extra attention to detail with cleaning.Food was lovely though, if you stay definitely order breakfast. Best bacon I've tasted in a while! Overall if you are looking for somewhere cheap and away from civilisation this is your place!

First post lockdown lunch outside on a sunny day. A warm welcome, excellent food and good service. A nice straightforward pub menu. Recommended!

I love this pub, friendly, unspoilt with great food. I have been several times over the years with groups for lunch or simply with a friend and never disappointed. Lovely walking area also. I wish I had taken photo of my nice mushroom and goat's cheese dish with beetroot salad as it looked as good as it tasted!
