Many thanks to our hosts Sandra and Steve, especially Steve's athelitism in running after us with our umbrella. We visited 3 times last week and on each occasion were delighted with the food and it's presentation. On our last visit we enjoyed the Homily Pie followed by Rhubarb and Ginger cake (both absolutely gorgeous). Thank you both for making us feel so welcome. Hope you have a good season from Ron, Bev, Chris and Mary (the Homily Pie Gang).

A secluded garden, a special place, a time lost. Step into this little gem and that’s what will come to mind.Steve and Sandra are welcoming, delightful hosts there to cater to your whimsy and take the time to share a story or two.The outside courtyard is cozy and inviting with plant covered pergolas and stone walls. Bring your pup too because they’re welcomed. We enjoyed possibly the best brewed English Breakfast tea I’ve ever had. I could smell the aroma, compliments of my large nose! It was accompanied by the equally best shortbread cookie this far in my life. Perfect snap, perfect texture. Oh my!Everything on the sandwich menu can be made to satisfy those who have issues with gluten. I enjoyed a simple BLT. And dessert…..oh my! Scones to die for… also gluten free. My daughter was in heaven. We hated to leave!Time permitting stroll around this little village. It’s overflowing with charm and the soap shop is splendid.Visit my IG @live_joe_life for some town pics too!

Came here last July whilst on holiday and returned again this year as we're back in the area. Food is amazing - all freshly cooked and delicious, staff are all friendly and helpful and very welcoming.Highly highly recommend the Dorset apple cake (warm with ice cream)- had it last July and been dreaming of it ever since. Had it again this year and it did not disappoint - unusual for something to be actually as good as you remember it!

Absolutlely delicious ! This place is so authentic , all food is home made and staff is so so friendly ! We made a stop during our walk , it was a highlight and goes hand in hand with the stunning scenery around the village. Best tea room of Dorset !

Stopped off for some tea and decided to try the Tradional Cream Tea and WOW!! we were stunned at what arrived. Firstly a tea set of Royal Albert and a giant teapot ( no piddly little pot here) and then this feast arrived!!Four different types of sandwich, TWO cream scones each, lemon drizzle cake and two Tiffins, everything home baked as well, it was delicious, there was so much we got a doggy bag and took what we could fininh home with us.I couldn't recommend the Old School House highly enough, do not miss this gem tucked away in this little village.

A wonderful tea room, very clean and pleasant with a nice garden area for the good weather. The staff are friendly and helpful, the options on food and teas/coffees are great. I had a mug of coffee, with option of hot or cold milk. I had soup of the day which was wonderful, sandwiches with Granary bread, but could have had wholemeal or white. Later I went back for tea and homemade scones, the best I have had for a long time. Very highly recommend.
