Lovely old building and cosy atmosphere, great friendly service, tasty cakes, good prices!

·

Such a lovely tea house and hospitality. Fantastic tea, scones and cakes. The sweetest owner. Highly recommended to stop here for a quick afternoon tea

Pleasant little tea room in a 17th Century building with traditional fittings and oak beams.Very nice cream teas. Only two cakes to choose from on the day we visited. It's towards the outer edge of the main shopping area, so probably not as busy as they would hope for.The staff were very pleasant, however the owner or manager serving in jeans and a hoody wasn't really in keeping with the surroundings.Worth a visit if you're in Dorchester.

A big thank you to this lovely little tea shop for making my mum’s 86th tea party so special. Very attentive service, surprise free birthday decorations and a delicious high tea with so many sandwiches and cakes that they ended packing up the remainder in boxes to take home! Highly recommended and will definitely return for the next ladies treat 👍

The oldest building in Dorchester. Lovely rooms, warm and welcoming. Limited lunch menu. Baked potatoes had decent filling, but slightly undercooked.

This is an utterly charming tea shop, the Mum and Daughter who run and own it are super charming and are quite delightful. We arrived after the lunchtime rush but they still managed to accommodate our needs, the food was nicely presented, plentiful and delicious, and not expensive either. So if you fancy visiting this little tea shop you definitely won't be disappointed.

Stunning food and service, great place to stay when visiting friends in Weymouth! Will definitely return! Thank you 'The Old Tea House' for making us feel so very important! Loved learning about the history of the building!!

The owner and staff here are so lovely and friendly, we were made to feel so welcome. You could tell it was a favourite with the locals, everyone was very open and chatty. We had a delicious cream tea and salted caramel cake. The scones were light and fresh and the cake was rich but not too sweet. The coffee and tea were great too!
