Excellent location in beautiful village. Unfortunately our second meal not up to the same high standard. The triple cooked chips were basic. The burger was average and even when we were asked how we would like them cooked when they arrived the waiter said they were all cooked the same way. The dessert menu was unappealing. Perhaps a different cook was on duty?

We were just passing and found this lovely pub by chance, so we popped in for a spontaneous lunch. The food was fantastic, generous portion sizes cooked perfectly. We sat in the garden which was beautiful and peaceful with fantastic views of the countryside. Highly recommend a visit! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Here for a post funeral wake. The staff were warm and welcoming. The food was plenteous and delicious. Combine all of that with beautiful buildings and a lovely garden with gorgeous views especially on a sunny afternoon - what's not to like?

The best pint of six x I've had in a long time. Nice friendly bar staff and everything was clean.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC....Couldn't recommend this B&B gastro pub highly enough...From the charming staff that couldn't do enough to please or the best Sunday lunch I've ever had ., Or to the most complete room we have ever stayed in...You will not be disappointed with this most perfect find ....The only negative is the bedrooms are not shouted about enough ...Woke this morning from the best sleep to be greeted with a dear walking past our room...Massive shout out to a fantastic job being done by Marcus & Megan and their team....Will definitely be back x

Had so many lovely meals here previously, the last time was so bad it tarnishes all my good memories of this place. Bland food, too many components without thought for how they go together and unfortunately when it wasn't bland it tasted awful. Venison with burnt chocolate and a half centimetre layer of dijon mustard for 25 quid.Complained politely to the wonderful waitress who was really apologetic. Only reason it doesn't get 1 star.

Went to celebrate my fathers 90th birthday. Atmosphere good, however the food didn't deliver and we felt it was overpriced. My fathers steak was tough, my son ordered a vegan meal however the chefs clearly hadn't made a note as it was delivered as vegetarian not vegan. I understand that most diners don't have allergies or intolerances so the rating I have provided is for our experience only. Other diners seemed to be enjoying their food.

Great for a relaxed Sunday lunch. The menu is very short so not much choice but the food was all really good and the portions generous. There were two vegetarians in our group and they really enjoyed the roast cauliflower dish. The staff were brilliant and service spot on.

Our first time and wasn't disappointed. Excellent selection of Real Ales. Had lunch and, although not a huge lunchtime menu, the choice was very good and all of our meals were fantastic. Don't usually have Fish & Chips in a pub, but it was amazing (crispy batter and triple cooked chips - unbelievable). Very friendly staff.
