The Smuggler's Inn in West Dorset

Nice place to visit with great views back across the sea towards Portland & Weymouth. Very good service with waiting staff polite and engaging. The starters and puds are a little pricey but the food was good. Plenty of room inside compared to some of the Hall and Woodhouse town centre sites. Well worth a visit when visiting the beautiful Dorset coast.

Awesome pub, definitely worth the visit. Even though it's quite remote its clearly very popular as it was very busy when we went. It was a lovely sunny day on the bank holiday so no surprise but we found somewhere to sit no problem. The pub itself is huge as is the outside seating areas located at the front and round the side. Surrounded by a flowwing river, music playing, dog friendly..etc great atmosphere. Their food was absolutely delicious, staff were friendly & the beers were also great. There's a car park opposite that despite it being busy still found a space straight away and it's free for customers. There's also a little beach just down a little trail next to the pub which was really nice as well. Would definitely go back here when we're next in the area

Seems to be quite a popular place. Dog friendly. Great food. You got to get your own cutlery and sauces ;)Love the decor inside and out.One can see smugglers lounging there in the crevices of Mother nature plotting away 👥

Good food, great atmosphere, comfy surroundings. Menu is limited but everything we ordered was tasty. Car park isn’t the biggest. Mind your head if you are over 5’6” tall, the beams are low!Will be back in the future…

What a gorgeous pub. We had the best Sunday lunch today. The staff were all so lovely, especially the exceptional waitress with bobbed blue hair, thank you for making us feel so welcome 💗 Unlimited gravy and Yorkshire puds on top of a solid 10 out of 10 roast! The roast was generous on delicious beef, roasties and veggies. If you're in the area then you must visit! Resevations advised!

Great pub with friendly staff. Lit a fire for us too. Would've given 5 stars if they had pork scratchings and all ales available. Will definitely go back there, in the summer next time.

We booked a room for ourselves and to have our post wedding meal here for a small group. The pub has the most warm and welcoming atmosphere and great food. The staff were amazing, helpful and made us feel so special. A little shout out to Louie and another lady with blonde hair who served us but didn't catch her name. Thank you all for making our day so special x

Stayed at the Smugglers Inn Tues to Fri. Loved it, great atmosphere , the olde world, real fires. Clean fresh room, full breakfast included and great dinner menu. Staff are lovely. Inn is in great location for hiking the coastal walk and evenings in Weymouth. Dog friendly. Car park. Highly recommended. Double room 3 nights incl breakfast £360.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Good food and selection of beers. A great place to finish a walk along the coast path. Gets very busy with walkers during the day especially if the weather is good.

A warm welcome by Tom and the rest of the team. A really lovely place to stay. Room was quaint and the room to stay in due to size is no. 1 we were in no. 4 but loved it. The pub feels so relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and we stayed for dinner two nights. Will definitely be back.
