"Countryside cafe open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and freshly baked cakes. Our ingredients are as locally sourced as possible... including freshly picked vegetables, herbs and fruit from our garden, eggs from our happy hens and home reared lamb and pork. A beautiful location, just outside of Bridport, to enjoy after a countryside walk."

What a huge disappointment.Beautiful setting but sadly even though we booked for lunch at 1pmMost of the food on the menu had run out!!!!Felt embarrassed for the staff who had to announce that.So sandwiches it was but sadly not a great deal to go in them. The incredibly fatty ham had been divided up to compensate for the lack of enough to go around.Truly dreadful and consequently won't be able to recommend.

Well managed place + someone in the kitchen actually listens, a rare thing! Good portions, too. Worth a detour.

Went to meet a friend for lunch on a Thursday. We reserved the table and were grateful for having done so as it was quite full for a weekday. I brought my dog with me and, as previously researched, that was no problem at all. The place had a cosy feeling to it, warm and inviting. The food menu is currently limited but what we got was delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming but not 'keen'. Priced slightly higher than average. Overall a very pleasant experience, rounded up by a walk up to Colmers Hill afterwards.

Stunning position, beautiful buildings, stylishly decorated, warm, wood burners, dog friendly, spacious, beautiful garden. Organised, clean, delicious coffee, nice breakfast, a tad on the expensive side, although understandable.

Left without being served. Waited nearly 8 mins to be seated and informed the server we'd need to leave at 12 anyways as table.reserved for 12:30. Waited another 5 for our order to be taken and then waited 20mins for a pot of tea for two and a slice of cake which didn't arrive. Cancelled order and left. Poor service. Typical Saturday morning and not enough staff. Feel sorry for them as over worked and they all looked a little flustered. Have been before and service 10/10. Disappointed today.

Great place to visit and access to Colmer's Hill a short but slight incline to the top, restaurant has great food, ethically produced, the estate has a strong environmental attitude, and on the day we visited it was just a few days away from their festival devoted to environmental and climatic dance and other events , the restaurant was busy but staff were enthusiastic and such a brilliant group of people to be served by , we had the pulled pork , succulent and extremely well presented, if I lived locally, definitely would be a must too destination

Would not go again! The spicy lamb dish was awful; the lamb was dry and crispy and the flat breads tasted stale. Our drinks, one beer and 2 bottles of juice didn't arrive until half way through the meal despite being asked for a couple of times. Staff were stressed and not overly helpful. Awful value for money - the lamb dish was £13+ and was the size of a starter. First meal out since lockdown with parents and it was a real disappointment.

If I could leave no stars then I would. No vegan options on the menu, staff unwilling to accommodate even a request of toast as it's "off menu".Menu very expensive and is not proportional to the quality of what is provided.Coffee was expensive and sub-par.Very poor experience overall.

This weekend was our first meal out this year! Such a lovely place. Lots of space. Great views. And of course fab food. We had the Green Pasta and Summer plate. Service was wonderful as well.
