The most wonderful pub! The food was incredible and the service was amazing too! We have a 2 year old and they were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone driving past or in the area and would definitely be coming back here if we are nearby again! Fish and chips was the best we've had in a long time!

I suppose we were a bit different to the usual Thimble customer as we were there for the quiz. Now quiz night is a fun night and it's the same beer as every other night but the focus is on the quiz and so the ambiance of the place is secondary. We had a great night despite being hammered in the quiz. The beer was all it should be, the pies were perfect and the service was excellent.I'll have to go back on another night and see if it's worth five stars.

A lovely little thatched country pub with great food, real ales, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. We didn't book a table but they were very accommodating and family friendly. The home cooked meals were tasty and well presented. A very impressive pub in a peaceful little village crossed by a stream.

There were 12 of us and 2 dogs visiting from London. We can honestly say that the Roast dinner we had here was one of the best we have ever had! The staff were so lovely and accommodating and really went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. We are all visiting again in November and will definitely be coming back here for a roast dinner! We can't wait!

Great meal today. Attended with friends after seeing the reviews on the website and Trip Advisor. They weren't wrong! Friendly and knowledgeable staff served freshly cooked food which couldn't be faulted. We chose the pie (steak & ale today) and the pan- roasted hake followed by the lemon posset and the soured cherry & chocolate cheesecake. Yummy! Highly recommended

This pub is great. Food, service and beers. The pub serves all the Palmers Brewery range of beer and ales. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and very helpful. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon. The beer garden is a must of a sunny day.

Wow, what a beautiful setting and such a great pub with a fantastic lunch menu.We popped in on Saturday and the food was delicious plus, they are really dog friendly.Lovely staff too, thanks guys!

Very pretty pub slightly off the beaten track. Bit too much fatty bacon on the scallops which took over the flavour and not much crab in the crab and prawn salad but still edible. You have to ask for the vegetarian menu as its separate to the main one. Good choice though. Didn't stay for dessert as it was too hot.Good covid measures in place. Will go back

Turned up at opening time today without booking a table, we saw a member of staff who gave us the option to either sit inside or outside in the lovely garden. The weather being so wonderful we decided to stay in the garden. After a few moments another member of the team came and gave us a menu and took our drink order, at this point I must mention how attentive and friendly every member of the team at the Thimble Inn are. I ordered the ham eggs and triple cooked chips and my fiancee had the fish and chips we also shared a portion of onion rings. My meal was superb lean tasty hand carved ham with an excellent pineapple chutney, and possibly the best chips ever. The fish was a lovely size and cooked perfectly we both demolished the onion rings with again was a great portion. Definitely will be returning soon. Oh and almost forgot a great pint of IPA.
