Great place, great service. Manage gave me a tour as he had just taken it over. Beautiful rooms.

Possibly the best Mexican food I’ve eaten outside of Mexico.Hearty portions, full of flavour and sauces to pack a punch if you like an extra spicy kick.Well recommended and will definitely visit again when passing by.

Very busy when we arrived and warned there was a long wait for food but pleasingly we didn't have to wait too long at all. Food was delicious so we asked for dessert menu but noone came to take our order so gave up. Shame because ambience was good and staff were very helpful overall. Just put it down to ring very busy. Would visit again.

Headed to The West Bay for some pub grub yesterday to find there were new owners and they now offered a Mexican menu, branded as Tortilla Cantina. Initially we were sceptical but the service was good and friendly so we ordered. When the food arrived we were blown away. I love good Mexican food and this did not disappoint one bit. Chorizo and Black Bean Quesadilla with a fresh corn salad and their extra hot habanero sauce was sensational. I suspect the negative reviews are probably from patrons used to standard pub grub and not really interested in something different - which is a shame as this was one of the best Mexican meals i've experienced. First Class!!!!

Honestly, the best Mexican food we’ve had outside of Mexico. The beef tacos and the chicken quesadillas were delicious! The corn salad was also really tasty. Highly recommend :)

Stopped here for a meal a while back when coast path walking. Sarah and the team were great! Really friendly, managed to get us a seat and dinner (just what we needed), before the kitchen closed.Nice traditional pub vibes inside and a very short walk from the coast path/beach. Recommend! And West bay is beautiful!

Stopped by for dinner not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was brilliant! Any issues that we had were swiftly resolved with no issues. Would happily go again next time I'm in West bay!

Lovely place, staff and food. Definitely recommend. This pub has new owners, only been here for eight days, so I think the bad reviews must be the old owners. It was really lovely and friendly.

I was so disappointed by the way we were treated by the staff and landlord. First time in West Bay and a case of mistaken identity saw my family kicked out and refused service. Whats worse is the manner the matter was dealt with. A rather imposing lady bellowed at my husband across the garden for other people to hear rather than discussing the matter in a civil manner. I will add the landlord stood behind the woman like a coward rather than deal with the matter himself. We were accused of causing a scene in another pub the day before (The George), which we had never even been in but our reasoning was ignored and we were ejected along with my children and our friends. I was absolutely mortified as we have never been treated like this before. We visited The George for clarification and they offered us an apology for the case of mistaken identity and promised to call The West Bay Hotel to clear the matter up. Whether they did or didn't is of no consequence, we will not be visiting again and we happily spent our money at The Bridport Arms which I highly recommend for lovely service and amazing food. I will also add that we had visited The West Bay Hotel the day before and spoke to staff and Landlord for some time and all in good spirits. We reminded the landlord of this, and he refused to acknowledge our visit the day before which I find difficult to believe as we were the only people in there and the landlord himself served us our drinks. 🤔🤥

Very disappointing compared to previous visit. Menu choice was poor and did not make good use of local environment. Food was basic although edible. Staff were polite although all appeared to be lacking experience and as a result service was a bit hit and miss.
