I think the menu promised more than it delivered. The Sunday roast was well presented but let down by vegetables that were served no better than warm in red hot dishes. Service was attentive and atmosphere exactly what you might expect from a country pub.

Booked a family lunch gathering on Christmas eve Had booked a month in advance and requested to be in the restaurant. Followed this up with a phone call to confirm. Confirmed again two weeks prior when paying the deposit. On the day we were put in the bar area and not in the restaurant as agreed. We were squished in a corner on uncomfy seating. I raised it with the manager and he couldn't have cared less. "other people booked before you" was his response. Β£25 steak was very mediocre. On paying the bill, staff forgot to remove the deposit. Extremely disappointed on what was meant to be a rare family Christmas lunch. The managers attitude was the worst part.

An absolutely superb Sunday roast lunch here today, with great service. Couldn't have been better. Thanks to James, all the staff and, of course, the chef.

Considering I had a table for one, the service was brilliant. Great food, friendly staff and decent portions. Highly recommend, high quality and would definitely recommend.

Very cozy place! Had a table booked for 12:15 but showed up an hour early, we still were friendly welcomed and enjoyed a coffee and a pot of tea in the cozy sunny spot inside before we could order our lunch. Great selection and daily specials. We had a Camembert with sourdough to share and two starters as small Mains, salmon fish pie with cream cheese and watercress, breadcrumb battered feta with caramellised figs and honey glaze and two portions of chips. We even got the aioli requested from another main to dip the chips in! As dessert we shared grilled plums.. all very lovely presented. We were absolutely stuffed, even we had no breakfast and no mains! Two drinks. Card payment didn't work for ages and stuff was very helpful and patient!! We spent 3 lovely hours in here with delicious food for a very reasonable price!! Recommended!!

Excellent venue, staff very efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. Menu unbelievable and varied. Would recommend 10 stars for the food quality alone.

Following a light lunch previously we went back for something more substantial and were not disappointed. Friendly welcome, well kept beer and food a large cut above the pub average both in preparation and imagination. First class.

A good lunch from a good menu with daily specials. Had roasted monkfish which was delicious. The dessert was ok. The location is a lovely tucked away spot worth a detour to visit

Absolutely lovely. Very welcoming and super friendly staff. Food was superb. A definite must for a visit. The garden area is great too. Seafood deli board, highly recommended.
