Lovely breakfast using locally sourced ingredients.Spent another week down on the Jurassic coast and once again made windy corner cafe my go to for breakfast. I've got to say the sausages are amazing. Very friendly staff always and a great view whilst eating your breakfast.

Called in for a late breakfast, very friendly staff, food was served piping hot and quickly, and the lady that suggested half toast half fried bread, what a great idea.First class food and first class service at sensible money.Very impressed.

This review is based on the Burgers at the Bay located within Windy Corner Cafe.An essential place if your a fan of burgers. There's an emphasis on better quality ingredients over being a McDonalds replica. At first glance it can be a tad expensive at around £8.-11 for a burger with no chips, but they are exemplary burgers and you're only paying a bit more than the nasty stuff available in the nearby fast food stalls, been there, tried most of them, now only go here.Delicious burgers carefully constructed not simply slapped together by someone with no interest in being at work. The thickshakes are also pricey, at first glance, but try one, and you'll find yourself quite comfortable with buying one again, on first visit we tried the Biscoff, not expecting much as these things often don't actually taste the way you'd hope they would. Not at all the case, absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately now adds a further £20 to a meal as everybody wants their own, but everybody's happy though so you've just got to accept it.I may be wrong but everything feels like the staff have tried the items they offer and as such they make it the way they would want to receive it if they were the ones sat at the table. The fries are a bit too rustic for my kids liking as they keep the skin on, but they taste great, they're just outside what people's expectation of a French fry is going to look like, which isn't a bad thing but to children it can be a bit off putting. We haven't yet tried the puddings menu, we didn't realise there was one until last visit as it's on a board not the menu, next time though!Unfortunately they aren't open everyday with the cafe switching to Burgers at the Bay from 4pm onward, so I'd strongly advise checking their website or giving a quick call beforehand to confirm.

Came here twice in the week of 16th May 2022 with family and 2 little ones, as we where away in the Bay on a little holiday. On both occasions the cafe was clean, tidy and spacious. The food was lovely on both occasions, once was for lunch for 4 people, the other breakfast for 4 people 3 days later. Staff are so friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble, even grabbing high chairs for the little ones, and colouring books. (Before we had a chance to get them), such a nice feel too the place, staff know all the locals. Great views overlooking the beach and rocks. The price we paid for the food was reasonable for what was purchased. Teas and coffees where nice. Food was freshly cooked and hot on arrival. So thank you to the chefs as well. We would definately return in the future. Such a lovely place too visit when the sun is out.And something I must add, after reading some of the lower reviews Is this....Vegan, gluten free, dairy free etc etc, if anything is on the menu that fits into this category, then yes, expect too pay a little more.....take a look inside your local supermarket at prices for these things, and you will see the prices, please don't order, and take offence to the price, after you have seen the price, paid it, and eaten it....(what is the world coming too)....common sense goes a long way everyone. If you are going to complain about dogs inside a 'dog friendly' cafe, find somewhere else to eat.... where there are no animals inside.People complaining about 'menu or food choices'.....I found there to be a variety of things available to suit all tastes.People stating 'they did not order anything and left'.... you have zero right to comment as you had no experience too rate..... use your common sense....and I wonder if you asked permission too all the people in the cafe at the time too, 1 take a picture with them in it, and 2, share it publicly.....(the answer too which is no).Anyone saying 'I don't know how we ended up in here too eat'.....again...seriously?... you walked into this cafe of your own free will and choice. Nobody forced you through the door....behave yourselves, and take a look in the mirror....a disrespectful comment to make.I'm sorry, but I just can't believe any of the lower stars reviews when our experience was so faultless in all ways.Loved this place, Rant over 😊👍 ( and yes, I am very outspoken, and I make no apology for this. The owner and staff all do an incredible job here 👍

I must say a big thank you to The Windy Corner Cafe staff for being so polite and hard working to make our first ever breakfast with them such a pleasure. The large breakfast that I had was cooked and served to perfection from the kitchen to the table. And also the Pancakes are to die for my daughter loved them. All of the ingredients used at the Windy Corner Cafe are locally sourced the best they can. Thank you again and we will be back very soon. If you are in the area go to the Windy Corner Cafe for lots of good food and drink.
