Bampton Street Fish Bar in West Somerset

I was visiting from London and i asked a local resident where to eat and he recommended this fish and chip shop. Friendly, clean and meticulous and equally importantly very good food in every way. God quality even down to the mushy peas and generous portions. Professional approach and a great menu selection... I and my family would definitely go back.

Best fish and chips in ages. Asked for a small portion and it was spot on, often find it is too much. For those who care about keeping the oceans clean so that we continue to have fish, it was good to see no plastic in sight.

Fantastic food. Cooked to order. My only grumble was the the guy serving kept taking bits of batter out of serving cabinet and eating them then licking his fingers and not washing them.... that is disgusting especially with covid. Also the young lady with piercings ... these should be covered.

Absolutely fantastic food, been after a decent fish and chips for a very long time and found it here. Freshly cooked and generous portion. Shame I'm only down for the weekend

Under new management, very tasty and very generously sized portions along with a nice amount of options on the menu. There's also Vegan options on the menu so there's something for everyone. Great to see some Fentimans in the fridge too rather then just the usual sugary drinks!

The best Fish and chips I have in years. Great staff, really friendly and the food is so tasty and fresh. Good generous portions. What more do you want? Would definitely recommend and will be back for sure. Thanks guys! 😋
