Castle Coffee House in West Somerset

Hidden floral gem. Simple food done very well, in a lovely floral environment and pleasant service with a smile. We came across this little cafe on our search for the castle and had a lovely lunch. It’s a little less obvious than other cafes on the street but this is lovely when you see the efforts made in side. There is a lovely court yard garden and beautiful mural on the wall of Dunster. The food was just what we wanted and our toddler loved it too!

As many other customers have said, what a hidden gem !!! Six of us called in for a light snack, extremely welcoming and the food was lovely, definitely recommended a visit

We had lunch here last week. It is a very popular place and the food is freshly cooked so there is a small delay in the meals arriving, but well worth the wait. My granddaughter has a dairy allergy but a quick chat with the very friendly staff soon found her something tasty. I had the steak and kidney pudding and can say it is one of the best I have ever had. I just wished I'd had room for one of the very attractive-looking puddings. All at a very reasonable price.

Great friendly staff, woman serving us was very chatty and made jokes with us. Very comfortable place, I have ceoliac disease and they gave me a list of foods which I can eat. The chips are cooked in a separate fryer. They had the following gluten free options: soup, cake bar, chips and baked potato and had gluten free bread.

Fantastic food, very reasonably priced, they were very busy which meant the service was a little slow but this didn't bother us, however we were offered a free set of drinks. Will definitely be back.

Friendly welcoming staff. Good food and drink with a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Cosy and dog friendly. Pleasant experience, would definitely recommend.

A friendly cafe, which allows dogs (not inside the main building). Decently priced, well worth a visit when in Dunster.

Called in after a morning visit to the Castle, menu + the specials board. Very polite and helpful staff. Four of us had different meals all very good. Seating inside or out in court yard, would visit again.

Nice food but a little pricy. Service can be slow if they're busy, which it was when we were there.
