A lovely place with an excellent friendly staff. On Sunday evening when there was no food served, Carol brought me home made treats, creme brulee & delicious flapjack up to my room as an unexpected gift. Avoid room 2 as it is right near a road. I was put into room 6 which was twice the size and very comfortable except for some kind of pump in the bathroom wall which made an annoying noise. I seemed to solve it by not flushing the loo until the morning.

Excellent hotel - very clean, great service, and the gardens are a lot bigger than I thought initially. It's also dog friendly! Recommended!

Lovely small (8 rooms) hotel. Beautiful grounds set on Quantock Hills AONB with heated outdoor swimming pool. Breakfast and dinner both home cooked and delicious. Sort of like a boutique hotel/gastropub but they don't market themselves as that. A jewel of a place.

Spent 4 nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was very spacious with a large well equipped bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The COVID procedures throughout were excellent which made our stay safe and enjoyable. The food was excellent and the customer service was outstanding. Would definitely stay again.

Spent 6 nights at this hotel and it was amazing room was excellent with all the comforts of home. Management and staff could not fault in anyway, so friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble, also as we went during the COVID pandemic everything was in place to make our stay safe and still enjoyable. Stayed during lockdown as a key worker. It was lovely. Owner was super flexible, happy to accommodate whatever I wanted for dinner even if it wasn't on the menu. Sherry and water in the room and cake with tea! The accommodation was great, clean, tidy and all covid safe, sanitiserin the room. Beautiful location although I turned up in the dark and left early next morning I would happily have stayed longer. I would whole hearted recommend and thank the owner for staying open for key workers.

We went for an evening meal which was absolutely superb. Lovely quality of ingredients cooked to perfection. The staff were really lovely taking excellent care In working within covid restrictions. We felt very safe and cared for. This is an absolutely beautiful venue I cant wait to return soon.

Very welcoming, friendly service with excellent menu and delicious food. The dinner menu is a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses and represents good value. The chef was able to cope with a dairy allergy and although on this occasion we did not take our dogs the hotel and dining room is dog friendly.
