Chantry Tea Gardens in West Somerset

Gluten free scones! An absolute gem, lots of seating outside in a lovely garden surrounded by birds and flowers. Parking onsite for customers or reasonable carpark just outside if you plan to visit the beach. Food served in boxes so you could decamp to beach with your food. Definitely plan to return. Thank you for catering for gluten free!

I popped in to the Chantry Tea Gardens with my dog, desparate to use the bathroom and hoping to be able to park there whilst I went for a walk before returning for lunch. I was made to feel so welcome and it was a yes for all of the above! A sandwich lunch was fresh and delicious, as was the cafetier coffee and the atmosphere in the garden was magical...late summer flowers, trees full of chattering sparrows and the Chantry itself, currently undergoing a refurbishment programme. I would highly recommend and will look forward to going back soon!

Great location and nice outdoor seating, but both the sandwiches and the cakes were very disappointing considering the price tag. Also agree with other comments on here that the takeaway packaging feels very unnecessary and wasteful.

Such a lovely little outdoor cafe and very covid safe! They do the best clotted cream scones I’ve ever had! Gluten free clotted cream scones are hard to come by, but since discovering this place we’ve come back again for my partners bday. Very friendly staff and great coffees too would highly recommend thank you 😃👍🏻

Lovely quiet place to sit for a drink and cream tea or sandwiches. Lovely little garden with a cottage garden feel, covid friendly, perfect after fossil hunting on the nearby beach

Best gluten free scone ever!!! Was still warm it was so freshly cooked. Absolutely delicious, wonderful treat! Also sampled the sandwiches which were perfect, no frills or fuss and delicious! Beautiful garden too. All round 5 star recommendation.

Fantastic tea and cake in a beautiful garden surrounded be sparrows and swifts. Coffee and walnut cake excellent - generous portion so half each was plenty for my mum and I! I was also impressed they had decaf and dairy-free options. The only downside was the wasps, who seemed to particularly like the jam in the cream teas..

Lovely little find, is outdoor seating only but has a covered shelter if it rains. Has parking by the side of the tea gardens and you can not reserve a table it can get very busy but do a take away service. They have a wide selection of light lunches very reasonable priced with the most amazing cream teas.
