Coombe House Hotel Restaurant in West Somerset

Great hotel with plenty of old character set in a very quiet part of the Quantock hills. Easy to find although the road was a bit narrow and twisty. Plenty of space in and around the buildings. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Food was very good and service quick. Buffet breakfast was included in the room price and anything cooked was extra. Some good walks available starting from the hotel. We had a good relaxing stay.

Lovely hotel nicely tucked away so very peaceful the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food in the restaurant was first class and with my nut allergy the staff and chefs went out there way to make sure I had no reactions. We will definitely go back plus great venue for a wedding too

Right next to the quantocks. A wonderful location and beautiful old buildings. Lovely food and great staff. You can book a room, a function or just have a good meal out

Been here several times along with my dog when on a long walk. Dogs always welcome. Good bar snacks or tea and cake.

Its a pity. Lovely location, nice hotel, though in need of a bit of TLC in places and for the most part nice staff. However the owners come across as indifferent, insincere, and rather transparent about taking money for everything they can, which ruins an otherwise lovely place to stay

Great food and reasonably prices for food and drinks. Dog friendly. However the bedrooms that you can take the dogs into are a bit small and tired if you don'thave dogs the rooms are better. The old part of the hotel dates back 200 years so that needs to be taken into consideration Clean everywhere with nice gardens and great walks right from the door. They have good break deals on offer. Recommended and don't forget the food served is delicious and the wine very reasonably priced. A hose and dog towels to wash and dry off the dogs would have been good.

Fish slate starter was superb. The main course, belly pork dish was lovely though the pork itself was a little dry. The Belgian chocolate dessert was both decadent and delicious. And for me the fact that dogs are allowed was a bonus.I will definitely return.

smallest en suite ever encountered booked direct with hotel as discount offers not available ended up paying £212 including Wi Fi charge (who pays extra even get free period at travel lodge) for Bed breakfast and an average evening meal for one night. Quirky yes value for money NO

Last minute booking as part of a deal, and did not disappoint. We finally managed to find a date where three of us could get together to celebrate our brother's birthday. The food was included and really well presented with a good level of choice. Our rooms were lovely, characterful, and beds extremely comfortable. The service was excellent. The icing on the cake for us was a morning walk leaving directly from the hotel. Lovely spot.
