Driftwood Cafe in West Somerset
Where is Driftwood Cafe?
🏠 Blue Anchor Bay Rd, Blue Anchor, Minehead TA24 6LD
"The Driftwood is a licensed 1930's beachside Cafe and Restaurant alongside the Coast Path, with the beach in front and the West Somerset Railway running directly behind it, with the station just 50 metres away. Seating is provided inside, outside in our garden and also in a sheltered verandah. We are renowned for our breakfast offering served until late afternoon, our fish and chips and our Ice Cream kiosk in the warmer months. The menu is varied and should have something for everyone including our own home baked cakes. Please come and visit us and the beautiful countryside surrounding us, we are child and dog friendly and open everyday of the year except Christmas Day. There is also free parking along the seafront."

It's gone down hill, sat at a rotting and decaying table, paid £6.50 for two coffee's, been coming here for years but it will be the last time, my son came here end of 2020 and said he had a poor quality over priced breakfast, will steer clear from now on

Little bit on the pricey side. Food was average for what they charge. Great location on the front. I would expect better food for the price if I'm being completely honest. I've paid less for better breakfast.

Chilly and bare. No welcome. Unhelpful service. Menus out describing food "served all day." However, only poor selection tion of cakes available after 1500. Lemon cake was tasteless, slightly stale and over refrigerated. Very grubby and cold gender neutral lavatory.

Excellent cafe, food looks great and coffee was good. Lovely staff and extra seating out back in a newish covered and heated area.

A lovely cafe, right on the seafront. Serving delicious food and yummy hot chocolate with whipped cream and a flake! Friendly staff, dogs welcome 👍

A love cafe with a great view. The food is always enjoyable and good quality. On this week's visits we had a delightful carrot cake. On our last day we had a nice cooked breakfast with coffee and toast. The best breakfast all week.

This is a fabulous café, very dog friendly so an extra star * for that. The food is amazing. Not cheap but well worth it. Fish n chips are wonderful as are the cream teas. Photo is of our dog enjoying a treat at our last meal before driving home.

What a wonderful place. I was last here about five years ago and it has grown nicely. Hot chocolate and a scone whilst enjoying a sunny afternoon looking out over the Bristol Channel towards Swansea and Cardiff. Dog friendly.Lovely friendly service, thank you for making a rather sad day much better.Heartily recommended.

Visited on a busy bank holiday for refreshments. The staff were really friendly and helpful, despite the hoards of tourists.Sat inside, but there is plenty of seating outside. There is a good choice of light bites, full meals or am ice cream shack out the front and very reasonably priced.Food came quickly, was freshly cooked with good portion sizes. Coffee was strong and nice. The also serve homemade cakes which looked lush.
