Duke of Wellington Hotel in West Somerset

Great visit, great food. Arrived about 5pm. Quite busy by about 6pm so if you are bringing a family I would not leave it too late. Good to use the app to order, very quick and polite service. Will use again .

My husband and I ate here twice during a weekend break in Minehead. On both occasions (Friday evening and Saturday afternoon) it was very busy but we managed to find a table. As usual, the drinks were inexpensive and the food basic but nice especially as they were served on a hot plate. Plenty of hand sanitiser was available to use and used glasses along with plates/cutlery cleared promptly with tables being thoroughly cleaned with anti bacterial spray between customers. The toilets were very clean and the staff friendly & helpful.

Not the most welcoming of places, tables empty but not cleared, several drinkers who were very possessive of " their pub' and not wheelchair friendly.Food ok but chips were like warm and the ham was shop bought and tasteless.I definitely wouldn't stay in the rooms.I would guess they survive from the Butlins guests.

Warning for wheelchair users!!!This review is on behalf of my disabled 67 year old mother, who visited July last year, and is a complaint of Wetherspoon's in general.She had booked a two night stay at the inn, and reported the majority of her experience as good.However, on her first entry, she informed me that the main entrance was inaccessible for wheelchairs, resulting in her falling out of her chair head first. The staff apologised and helped her back up, but that was the end of their service.On return home, she wrote to wetherspoons to notify them that they would need to make the pub more accessible. She has since emailed a further twice, 6 months on and has not received any more details on what they are doing to fix the situation apart from a standard response of "we are investigating". I find this totally unacceptable and discriminatory.

Great customer service and quality assurance. Staff working there have excellent communication skills. Food delicious. Do recommend you going there.

We visited a couple of times over Christmas. We found pleasant staff, managed to distance and the toilets were clean. The double gin and tonics were great. Just lacked a little atmosphere

Food came out extremely fast which is very much appreciated with 2 shell hungry children! Reasonable prices and food was decent quality. I also liked the convenience of ordering by the app too. Stay were nice and friendly too.

Another great Pub to visit in Minehead. All the normal fantastic benefits of a weatherspoons pub, with great food and drinks. Fast efficient staff. Great experience. Not as many comfy seats as some weatherspoons, mostly tables and chairs. But still recommended

Its too cold, very uncomfortable for customers, needs decorating throughout as out of date. Staff good but should respect needs of customers as we're all sitting inside with our coats on. Fire doors are open all the time for customers to smoke cigarettes and I'm sure they should be closed.

Good outdoor space upstairs when sunny and at front of building if you prefer shade. Loads of room inside. Typical Spoons. Value for money food and drink. No parking on site but street parking available not too far away
