Lovely cakes, decent tea and coffee. Much bigger than I expected, has space downstairs as well as a good sized garden.Seemed better than most national trust cafes.

Having worked here in the past and knowing that it usually had a good menu for a tearoom we visited today knowing it would be busy but actually not too bad considering it's a bankholiday Monday. The menu is pretty poor. Says sandwiches, wraps or baguettes but no description of the fillings same with the cakes no list of what's avaliable for people outside. Drinks however took up a whole page.... So you have to go inside to find out what is avaliable.... so what's the point in the menu? So after waiting in a queue for quite a while found out they had sold out of sausage rolls after 30 mins of opening..... so had to leave the queue to go ask what my partner wanted. Went back up and the queue had hardly moved. Staff were pretty slow. So we left and went into dunster and had a better choice of food else where. On the plus side I did get to see Vera who is one of the best members of staff there!

Wonderful tea room - amazing homemade sandwiches and very nice tea! There was a bit of a queue to order as it was peak time, but service was excellent and quick after we'd ordered. Well worth a visit.

Lovely garden and a nice selection

I must have gone there on a bad day, the service was soooo slow and a lack of food, choose your day wisely to visit this café.

Really nice tea room with tasty food.I visited with my sister on a Sunday and we had the soup of the day (courgette, garlic &stilton cheese) with cheese scone (5.95£). The soup was the best i ever had in the UK, it was full of taste from the ingredients and just the right hearty dish for a windy day in October. We also tried the fruit scone with clotted cream, jam and tea (5.95£) which was also excellent. The space inside the building is limited but they also have tables on the outside.Dogs are welcomed but only on the outside area. There are also a lot of vegetarian dishes at the menu to choose from.

Good prices, and a lovely place to relax. The cream teas are really good.
