We ate here last week. It was a very special evening. The space is elegant with views over the garden and the weir. The food was exquisite..every mouthful a delight....and Cindy was an excellent host, we felt very welcome. Thank you.

This is a wonderful besutifully decorated boutique hotel with the most glorious, exquisite cuisine! If you are considering a weekend away with friends or a loved one look no further. The couple who run Locanda make you feel at home, super hospitality..honestly I cannot recommend this place highly enough! This has now been my 4th time here and I shall return next year!!

This was our third visit to Locanda on the Weir and we plan many more! Cindy and Pio's hospitality is wonderful in every respect, from the welcome to the bedrooms and the food; which is divine. Having travelled the world and stayed at many lovely places, Locanda on the Weir tops our list of favourite places to stay. Our visits here are always very relaxing. We try and be active during the day as we know come the evening, we will eat everything Pio cooks for us, nothing is ever left as it's all so delicious! A beautiful boutique hotel made special by Cindy and Pio

Had a lovely few days here. The hotel is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were greeted with the offer of a drink by Cindy, the proprietor, which was very welcome after the journey. The service is attentive without being overbearing. We ate in the restaurant on our first evening and the meal was excellent. Will definitely be coming back in the near future.

Food and service first class. Warm and friendly welcome. Fish based set menu on night we went. All locally sourced ingredients delivered fresh to hotel. Well constructed flavours offering an enjoyable balance over the whole menu.

Sensational!Wonderful food, really interesting wine list. Great setting in period house.

·

Excellent food from a bit of a self taught culinary wizard chef / owner (...we felt!). Great wines. Great rooms. Great staff.Classy bar / reading room where one can put a vinyl on whilst sipping a quality G&T pre dinner (unique ??!...) Best hotel breakfast I can ever recall...DBB fantastic package given food quality and location.

Have stayed here at least annually for 10+ years, always liked the peace and comfort. Since Cindy and Pio took over last year they have elevated the place to a new level, amazing taste and decore, food that would shame the finest restaurants, you have to try Pio's lamb!

This is a hidden gem and a place that we will definitely be visiting again. Pio and Cindy are a lovely couple who made our stay an absolute pleasure. The master bedroom - Santa Maria is without a doubt, the best hotel en -suite bedroom we have stayed in Ever!! A stunningly comfortable four poster bed, luxury couch, fabulous views, wooden shutters, elegantly decorated in a mix of Italian and English antique furniture and paintings. Included in the price is an out of this world breakfast - ranging from homemade healthy compots, through eggs Florentine and french omelettes to the granddaddy of full English breakfasts. The kids had homemade pizzas for dinner ( a mix of Neapolitan with a Romana base) and a phenomenal Calzone, big enough for 2. We had a great Swordfish linguine with a very nice organic Sicilian wine...Deliciouso!!!! This place is great value for money and if you add the activities available in Exmoor National Park (walks / boat trips etc), its a great weekend get away from the bustle of the city.
