"The Star Inn is a friendly pub with a welcoming bar, log fire and good food to go with good beer. In the summer the large beer garden is open and well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome throughout the pub. The Star Inn was first documented as the Royal Oak in 1794, the first landlord was Josiah Watts 1794 – 1808. Robert Stoate closed and reopened the pub during 1825 as the Star Inn. During it’s history the pub was owned by the Egremont trustees in the 1870’s then the Wyndham Estate in the 1890’s. The Star Inn is situated next to a babbling brook and you can always hear the sea from the pub."

Great food, excellent service, great value for money. Sat in beer garden so quiet and relaxing. Hidden gem. Dog friendly. Highly reccomend.

Great pub serving reasonably priced good quality food and well kept real ales. I always head there for lunch when I am in Somerset. Old pub with a lovely atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Best to book in advance to avoid disappointment (especially for Sunday roast) as it is very popular. Would like to give ten stars if I could!

Great pub, great food, great staff and great customers. Staying near Watchet for a week and stumbled across this place by accident and what a happy accident it was. Great selection of ales, the cod was brilliant and the children's portions are a good size. Would recommend.

This establishment has been closed for 2 years for a total refurbishment due to flooding. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and treats were provided for the dog. The food was amazing, portion sizes were good and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

The BEST roasted dinner that I had for awhile especially roasted beef so nice if you fancy a proper horseradish here is the place. Also pet allow in just check😊

Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Would recommend booking a table or it might be a 30 - 45 minute wait.The food was delicious and all cooked fresh. Can recommend.
