Fantastic place, amazing chocolate and peanut butter cake trialed that day and I got the first slice! 😋 staff were absolutely brilliant as was the shop as well.

Food and coffee is good but was disappointed that they don't do a full breakfast. Only reason for 4 stars is that we asked the young waitress if they do a full breakfast and was told .... its not on the menu so we don't do it!! .... felt very stupid for asking the question. Not the correct response in my view.

My husband and I popped in for a coffee and cake last week whilst on holiday in Exmoor.. We had a very pleasant experience, the cakes were amazing, the drinks were also very good.. The guys who ran the cafe/bistro were very welcoming, efficient and friendly. We would highly recommend dropping in for a treat.

Lovely shop with a wide selection (food, gifts, magazines etc). 5 star cafe too - friendly, professional, quick service. Delicious toasted teacake with plenty of proper butter and a properly sized pot of tea too! Lovely place, I've been before and I will go again!

A great family visit to this lovely cafe and shop. Divine cake (homemade and good sized portions) and fab coffee. The staff were so helpful and cheerful and the service was friendly and efficient, despite it being busy. Will definitely return. Great shop too - good range of ciders - and fudge!

Stopped in while on a weekend away for some well earned coffee and cake and so very pleased we did, as not only was the coffee excellent, the cakes completely delicious, but I have to say the waiter who served us was just super friendly and helpful, he made us feel right at home. We loved it so much we went back the next day and had to have more. I cannot recommend The Tantivy enough both for the delicious delights on offer, but also for the friendly staff who were perfect. Also have to mention the shop, which has everything you could ever need all in one place, easily the best shop in Dulverton. We will be back!

Always worth a visit - food and coffee is amazing and the service is outstanding. The service throughout the shop is always friendly and welcoming and Mike always makes you feel welcome. A pity reading other reviews people are so short sighted and as a local I'd suggest they stay away if being asked politely what you would like to drink or pay first offends you so much!Hot chocolate, west country rarebit and pasties are all highly recommended.

Fantastic experience. The staff are extremely friendly and the food was exceptional, I just wish I’d taken a photo before I’d eaten it haha (trust me it’s lovely). The service was also very fast even at peak which is when we arrived. There is also a lovely shop attached to the cafe selling lots of locally sourced ales, savouries, sweats and also some infused oils which can be self served at a size of your choosing. Can’t wait to bring family back here.
