Went for Sunday lunch while visiting the area, and it was packed out - always a good sign. Lovely atmosphere, Somerset staff proud of their great range of ciders. The lentil shepherd's pie might not sound exciting, but was delicious. Highly recommended.

Lovely homely pub. Made to feel very welcome by all the friendly staff. The menu choice and food was excellent. Also found a new spiced rum, which was fantastic.Look forward to returning very soon 🙂

First visit, ordered food to take away cheesy chips.and fish finger baguettes.. very nice.

Stayed for 2 nights B&B. Excellent if bit quirky. Good pub food and breakfast. Beautifully positioned at Porlock Weir on the coast path. Highly recommend.

Popped in to this lovely pub for lunch after our walk...been here many times! A dog friendly place, where the staff are great and the food is wonderful. Amazing in all seasons. Best coffee you will find anywhere!!

We didn't actually go in the pub, so can't comment on this, but the car parking opposite with its panoramic sea views was very reasonable, and only £12 for 24hrs.. we stayed overnight in our van, and had a guy approach us in the morning to say we weren't allowed to stay overnight (he actually incorrectly stated we'd been there for a couple of days!) anyway, the point I'm making is that there is NO official carpark signage stating no overnight stays, so legally, we were okay. If he was right, then surely we'd have been issued with a fine.. which proves my point; the majority of other car parks do have specific signage that forbids overnight sleeping, so why Porlock Weir is any different, I have no clue! Anyway, a lovely place to visit, and the four-mile or so circuit walk to Bossington is fab, and well worth picking up a well deserved bevvy in the main town on your way back to the Weir. Very nice.

The Ship Inn, Porlock Weir (or Bottom Ship - sister pub in Porlock village known as Top Ship) is a quaint pub at the harbour. Great place with loads of outdoor seating and good food and service. Akwats enjoy my visits with friends abd family. Lovely place.

I very rarely give 5 stars, unless exceptional. Great location, amazing staff (enthusiastic, rocket-fast, & fun), excellent food from a wide ranging menu... What's not to love about The Ship? 🙂

We had a super time sitting out the front in the sun. Service was efficient, and food was tasty - far better than I expected. Situated a stones throw from the sea and car park, and lots of boats and things to explore before and after which is great for the kids - would recommend :)
