Fabulous food in a fantastic part of the country.I would particularly recommend the houmous to start as it was up there with the best I've ever had.The service was great. I was particularly impressed that they were very kind to my dog and my parents who are all exceptionally difficult in restaurants 😅

Went by chance on a visit to Kilve beach. The staff could not have been more welcoming. Had 4 starters between the two of us and they were all truly delicious. Excellent food and service in a lovely garden. Thanks. The lovely and very helpful Tilly deserves a special mention!

Excellent!! I couldn't have asked more from a pub. Cosy interiors, friendly staff, well kept beer garden, and you what? High quality food. I am going to struggle to order food in any other pub and not compare it to the one I had at The Hood Arms. You set the bar very high and you deserve a medal! Said from a very judgemental Italian boy.

This place is fantastic. The host was very polite and welcoming. The room was fantastic. Sadly we didn’t get to enjoy the Hood Arms to the full extent because we were there for a wedding but we could only assume the food and drink during the day/evening would be fantastic because our breakfast was amazing. I don’t recall having such a great breakfast at any hotel. I definitely recommendOh and we struggled to find a taxi service local to the Hood Arms that could take us to the wedding venue. I called the Hood Arms a few days before and they gave me a number for a local taxi service who was extremely affordable. Their overall service was impeccable

Warm and welcoming staff and excellent food for breakfast and dinner. Couldn't fault the room we stayed in. We would recommend paying to stay in room 1! A comfortable and totally relaxing stay. We will hopefully return soon.

The Hood arms is on the A39 at Kilve, and we decided to eat there on the spur of the moment, after a day out. I'm glad we phoned ahead, because it was really busy, in a good way (it was a Saturday night, but January, so very impressive to be so full), and despite that we were offered a different table if we didn't want to be so close to the door. The menu was interesting, and small enough to make you confident that all the dishes are made on the premises, and freshly prepared. They could only fit us in on a rather late sitting, so some of our first choices had already gone, but we were both very happy with what we ordered in the end. I had the chicken breast and would have been happy with half the quantity (although I seemed to finish most of it!) and my partner's fish and chips was huge - and very good chips! Washed down with some local beer, it was delightful. Very slick, friendly service. There is some parking outside the pub, but there is a lot more in a public car park just a few yards up the road.Well worth a visit - but it would be prudent to book!

Friendly welcome. We had two of the best courses we've ever had, scallops perfectly presented on bacon and black pudding and the pan friend cod loin with King prawn tagliatelle with white wine cream sauce. To die for!! Thanks all!
