"For over 3 generation our family have owned street food stalls and restaurants in Borneo, these outlets became very popular as they were known locally as the best in the area. Now I want to bring those recipes and flavours from there to the UK. We are very proud of what we do and what we serve, our lives revolve around food and we feel this shows in our cooking. Ziangs has built up an amazing reputation for a tiny outlet in Porlock Weir, now its time for us to take the plunge into a full restaurant. We hope you enjoy this new venture as much as we will. Outstanding food! We are well travelled and enjoy Asian food but this really stands out.

I recently stayed in Porlock for a 3 day break, driving down from Kent. This restuarant was literally 30 seconds walk from my rented cottage. The food was superb !! The service was excellent and very reasonably priced. The Beef Randang and the Laska are to die for !! I went there twice over 3 days, which says a lot. Highly recommended.

The crown jewel of Porlock.Unpretentious and frankly rather brilliant.Upon first glance of the menu you'd be easily mistaken to assume this is your normal run of the mill Chinese. However upon the very first mouthful you realise there dishes are full of authenticity passed down through generations, the Satay being the star of the show. I want more and so will you. Thanks Zhaings a well deserved 5 stars.

Amazing food, huge portions too! Staff are friendly and accommodating! We didn't finish all our food and we were offered a takeaway box for it which is a great idea! Thanks guys!

Real shame, the previous menu was amazing. Beef rendang was incredible. Came back with family to try the new menu... Everything was incredibly greasy, chop suey was basically noodles dripping in soy sauce. I could cook a better dish at home.

We had a really lovely meal here & can highly recommend. We've been to Ziangs on the Weir numerous times but never found the time to book into the restaurant in Porlock Village. My kids loved the menu, ordered the crispy chicken & ribs, and managed to out-eat the adults. We ordered the black bean sauce & kung po and both were great, really lovely delicate flavours. The kids have already asked to book again for when we visit next year. Make sure you book in advance - they were fully booked for restaurant & takeaway the evening we were there.

After following the YouTube channel we decided to come and try it while on holiday. We really enjoyed the food, large portions and very good value for money.

We were really hungry, looking forward to a nice meal but the food was really salty, seriously salty! Couldn't eat it. Beer was nice tho! 🙃

I’m not sure what changed. Maybe new chefs? I’ve eaten food from zaings 3 times in the last 5 years. It was incredible. So I took my friend this week and really bigged it up to him.Im sure they did Thai food in the past too, but that wasn’t on the menu.It was unfortunately a disappointment. The taste was bland, the ingredients didn’t taste as fresh. The staff were great, and I really hope this is due to a business getting back on its feet. I’ll keep the faith and order again, and hope it’s better next time

Brilliant food, came down from seeing them on YT and can't fault it. Just super high quality Chinese food. The staff we're amazing too!
