Spent a hour in here on a Monday evening, nice friendly pub with a great jukebox, AC-DC to Barry Manilow, 5 plays for a £1, good level fast pool table with tight pockets and only 50p.It took me back to my youth in the early 70's, top place 👍🏻

Best pub in Minehead. Great selection on the jukebox, good range of beers and staff are super friendly. The lady behind the bar this Friday was an absolute credit to the pub.

Just had a two night stay here while visiting family in Minehead. We will 100% be returning! Location is amazing with great views. The staff were more than welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with lovely fluffy towels too. Breakfast was freshly cooked on request and delicious. The pub itself had a good selection of drinks and although we didnt have a meal here (other than breakfast) the food looked good. A friendly atmosphere too. Highly recommended.

Such bad passive agreesive responses to people - i would remove my responses to people and rethink my approach to customers (maybe be more humble). i wont be visiting based on the dreadful etiquette of the owner definitely not 4 or 5 star and definitely not luxury.

We booked here to stay after arriving at a local hotel we had booked originally and finding it was below average and filthy! We arrived late at night and the service was fantastic. The rooms are spotless, The breakfast was 5* and the owners are so caring. We have family in Minehead who we visit regularly and would not hesitate to book this accommodation again for our family to stay. By far the best B&B we have every used. Thank you!

We stayed overnight, and it was a lovely big, clean room. Perfect with 2 kids. Breakfast was the best I've had. The Sunday roast is delicious. Great atmosphere.

Been here a couple of times while staying at Butlins. The staff have a lovely relaxed west country attitude but they will accommodate non-standard requests where they can.Sunday lunch here (pre-booked) was amazing, the lamb and red cabbage was simply gorgeous.

Brief edit in light of owner response (thank you):TL;DRRoom clean and tidy, nice view. Busy on Sunday night with karaoke and lots of chatty locals. Breakfast served only after 0830. Owner inexplicably and spectacularly rude to paying guest, which unfortunately tainted my entire experience. On a day with easier timings, and fewer offensive retorts it could be a lovely place to stay.------------Original review (unedited):An interesting one. Staying one night for a work visit the next morning. Booked a pub room here, with a sea view, hoping for a meal and a pint, and breakfast the next morning. I arrived on Sunday night at 8pm. As I walked in I revised my plans, the karaoke was in full swing and the place was loud and packed. No big deal, but it felt like a private function (it wasn't, just locals and Butlins guests). Took 10 mins to get the attention of a member of staff at the busy bar to ask about check-in, and another short while to actually meet the owner (Danny?). Danny was drunk, or surprised that I turned up, or both, or just appeared that way. He wrote a handwritten note for a wifi code, told me he wouldn't serve breakfast early enough for me (I wanted to leave for my visit at 0830), said that he hoped I wasn't looking for a quiet night and told the chef to show me up to a room. The chef couldn't find a light switch on the way, or indeed find the room at first. The wifi code didn't work.I abandoned the plan to order food, but went back down to get a pint and check the wifi code. Got the pint halfway through the fourth rendition of Take Me Home Country Road and asked Danny about the code. He said "Didn't you f**king listen" I explained that though I had listened, I must have misunderstood him.His partner (Collette?) appeared at this point (having ignored me while I'd been waiting at the bar earlier) to ask "Why he f**king needs the wifi code, he's only here one f**king night"I directed my attention back to Danny who pointed at the code he'd written down earlier. "It's that".I pointed out it didn't work."All lower case" (it was written in all caps)I explained I'd tried that."No spaces" (it was written with many spaces)I looked at him and further suggested that I didn't really want to pay for my pre-booked breakfast that he wasn't going to serve me in the morning. I suggested he didn't charge me for my pint and we'd call it even."We can't do that sort of thing"Then he wandered off.I waved a tenner for my pint at the other bar staff member, who explained that Danny was probably discussing the matter with his wife. None of them spoke to me ever again.I finished my pint sitting at the bar to the sound of the locals yelling "take me hoooome", then eventually went upstairs to find some headphones and a soundtrack that would blend with John Denver on repeat from downstairs. The bed was clean, and the shower worked. I left at 0815 and went to McDonalds.------Final edit: apologies to Collette for assuming she was married to Danny.

Lovely pub and good atmosphere. I stayed for 4 nights last week as i was working in Minehead. If you eat there have a steak as it was one of the best I've had and done absolutely perfectly. Only thing i wasn't happy about was that breakfast doesn't start till 8.30am and i was out by 7.15. Other than that it was great value for money, nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable 👌
