A marvellous discovery for our last night in the area. Delicious food (We all chose the venison) and friendly, attentive staff. A very old building - we must look up the history of the place.

Lovely old pub. Amazing place to warm yourself by the fire with a cider!! It had excellent vegetarian options and a beef burger which was the size of your head. Check out the incredible war time collection while you're there.

Great oldie world pub. A good choice of local cask ales and ciders. Really friendly staff. We also stayed for 2 nights lovely clean rooms and for £50 pr night with breakfast. Just right.

Just booked in and had a very nice lunch. Lovely settings, top notch staff, good parking, close to shops and the moor. Cosy, friendly, good food and drinks all round I'd say. Must come back for a longer stay.

Lovely pub with great interiors and very friendly staff(Ringo?) with good knowledge about their drinks. Lamb shank was done well , but its pairing with tomato sauce (potato bravas?? tasted very sour like cirio puree )was not upto the mark!

Pleasant outdoor space on several levels. Fish and chips pretty good and portion size large.Good range of food available but it's not fine dining rather standard pub food. Still good value for money.Parking ok in carpark but town crowded and road very busy.
