The Spice Merchant in West Somerset

Our last meal of our holiday and it was fabulous. We eat a lot of 'Indian' meals and this was one of the best. Chicken Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala were our choices and both were good. Hadnt pre booked a table but was greeted politely and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are staying in or near Watchet. You may be better to book a table as I think we were lucky to get one as it was out of season.

This is a really good Indian restaurant with lots of choice. It felt a little rushed by the waiter when wanting to take the table order, but then again it was very busy (which is a good sign). The food is always as described and tastes authentic and good quality. Their garlic naan is amazing and works well with any if the various curries I have.

Nice curry house and friendly staff and very good value for money. Sheek kebab starter was really nice and great size pickle tray. House red wine was very good indeed but the jalfrezi tho was not not very hot at all. We had a very loud table behind us that took over the entire room and ruined a number of couples evening. No fault of the restaurant but I personally was pleased to get out of there. Would return for a quieter table

We enjoyed two meals here, and despite being vegetarian managed to have two completely different meals, both of which were very good. Very friendly staff and the food is reasonably priced. A lovely house white wine!

Lovely restaurant. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food was outstanding. Great location as we got a post dinner walk and watched the sunset. Thanks for a great evening.
