We have just had a very tasty toasted sandwich each served with salad and crisps it was absolutely amazing and a welcome pot of tea served by a very friendly gentleman lovely and spotless tearooms I can highly recommend. Will definitely be returning when next in Porlock as the scones and cakes were very appealing but we were full up after our toasty thank you 😊

After a walk to Porlock Bay and Weir, we stopped at the tearooms... After a very warm welcome, a bowl of homemade, freshly cooked Pea and mint soup with door stop bread chunks, and a fruity cream scone for my wife, and 2 love strong cups of tea, we were ready to hit the road to Lynmouth... Fab place, very friendly, and top notch food and drinks..!! Thank you all..!! 👍👍

Almost home. After a 6 mike walk through the beautiful countryside of Exmoor with our dog, we stopped for a "pick me up" cream tea with locally made ( Brenden Hill Craft Jams) Whorterberry jam. Delicious jam, fresh clotted cream, superb scones and locally made tea (Miles tea of Porlock) thank you.

Lovely atmosphere with authentic heavyweight vintage decor. Older gentleman (co-owner) searched out the dairy-free options when tempting cakes were pored over - slices of which were so filling that my partner suggested we abandon our plan to buy sandwiches from the One Stop to take down to the marshland beach - which you must visit, as well as the 'Miles experience', coffee-making process at their head office over the road; the Whortleberry have several of their options on the menu, of course.

A lovely little tea room in Porlock. Great choice of food. The Ham & Mustard sandwich is particularly tasty as was the fruit cake. Would highly recommend a visit, 2 min walk from short stay car park.

The word quaint might have Been invented for this cafe. Very traditional British in decor and menu, but none the worse for that. The sandwiches were delicious and a decent choice of fillings. Mum said the coffee was very good too.

Accommodating owners. Nice drinks. Nice scones tho' on the small side.Quite busy. But rather expensive. £7 pp including 2 children is not the best price in the village.Nice garden at the back but it started to rain...

Came here on a beautiful warm weekday. We popped in and it was rather busy inside but plenty of space left. We went and sat outside and met a very cute dog on the balcony above. The food and service and met with a smile and I'm pretty sure that my scones were some of the best I've ever had (and I go to Choughs, in cornwall). The cream and jam was generous and the tea was nice too.

Well it was certainly and interesting experience!but it’s was safe to say we did not feel welcomed into the store the lady running the floor was like a rabbit in the headlights not particularly polite or welcome, a simple request seemed to send her into absolute panic.we only requested to have two fruit scones on one dish as apposed to one fruit and one plain, anybody would of thought we’d asked her to go and bake a fresh batch there and then for us….. felt a little out of pocket after to be quite honest… menu clearly stated with the cream tea your own tea….. nope think again you will be sharing a teapot for one between the table…. Scones themselves were okay there is definitely better out there though…. All in all a pretty dismal experience. Unfortunately will not be returning such as shame as previous owner was absolutely amazing.

Lovely tearoom, very funny and friendly staff. Great prices, loved the fact they accept dogs. It's quite small, so buggies etc probably not a great idea, but lovely little place for walkers etc. Try the Whortleberry jam!
