Lovely old pub built 1700's. Only called in for a drink, food looked good ,landlord very pleasant & helpful. + Other side of the road a flowing small river where ducks where bathing.Where children could watch or play .

Had a family dinner here whilst on holiday in the area. Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great menu - had a delicious steak, perfectly cooked - everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and drinks. Would definitely return if in the area again. Nice little kids play area and seating outside and lovely setting on the river.

Staying nearby so visited this gorgeous pub twice. What a lovely location and building. Outside seating area across the road alongside the stream was really nice. Food nice, good selection on the menu and reasonably priced. Very friendly, helpful staff, would recommend π

Biker Friendly - Superb, tucked out of the way, country pub. Its a Free House too. I stayed in room 1 which was spacious and very comfortable. Big bath tub to have a nice soak in and sparkly mermaid board to make it a bit special. The ales are very well kept and the food was delicious.Big car park and a lovely outside seating area to relax in. Mealtimes are very popular and booking a table advised even if you are staying here.

Reserved a table last minute and although they are a popular and busy location, catered for us, Monday Steak nights are usually fully booked, but again made space for two weary travellers, Great service Great location, and better than that, the staff both nights we visited were friendly, welcoming and warm.Thank you for the exceptional service.Kind regards Tony and Louise

Fabulous pub, location and food. Portion sizes are really good and the food is tasty. Would absolutely recommend to others and we will definitely be going back. A meal for 7 with 2 courses and a couple rounds of drinks cost Β£150. Bloomin good value.

Absolutely horrid. A rancid watery soup. My mum's steak was as though as old boots and dad steak pie and wife's curry were extremity was watery. The sauce on my over cooked pork belly was rancid. None of the food could have been tasted by the kitchen. We didn't pay. The worst meal I have ever been served. Do not trust positive reviews of this restaurant.

11 of us went for a meal there and all I can say is that we had a stunning meal with brilliant friendly service from all the staff. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge, no measly helpings here, the prices were great as well. 10 out of 10 guys highly recommended.

FantasticWe were trying to find a pub in watchet that wasn't dark, actually open and no loud music for a quiet pint.Drove out towards minehead and noticed the signage on the road.A real find and well worth the effort, fantastic clear ale and great food.If you're down for the jubilee weekend have a look here you won't be disappointed

This is a beautiful little pub, with very jovial and comical staff. The menu always has lovely food available, including vegetarian options if you are of the veggie persuasion. The outdoor seating area is particularly lovely, especially on a sunny day, with a small stream right next to it, and there are fish! There is also a small play area to aid in keeping children entertained if needed.I can't comment on the rooms as I haven't stayed (I'm a local) but I'd recommend giving this quaint pub a visit for the beautiful landscape, lovely service and tasty food.
