Balti Island in Weymouth and Portland

Had a lovely experience here while on holiday, we had a delicious meal at decent prices, and the waitress was so friendly and gave great advice on where to visit in the local area.

We were a large party booked in for a celebratory meal for our dads retirement.We booked for 7 but for some reason our food order being taken was delayed for nearly 2 hours. When the food arrived it was in dribs and drabs. Some meals were cold and incomplete.Fortunately the staff could see the mistakes and corrected the bill accordingly.

This has got to be the worst Indian take away ever. 😡😡😡2x Mixed Kebab and every piece of meat and Kebab was like old shoe leather. So overcooked it was inedible. Chucked in the bin.Onion salad was just onion, no herbs at all and the Mint sauce was YELLOW and tasted awful and no hint of mint at all.Keema Naan bread dry and cold, that went in the bin to join the 2 Mixed Kebabs.2xAloo Gobi was smothered in some yellow goo and way too much white pepper Real Aloo Gobi should be just potatoes, cauliflower and tomato, cooked in Gee with fresh herbs, these went in the bin as well.Finally 2x Chicken Korma. Almond Sauce was passable, but yet again, the meat (chicken) rock hard and inedible. You guessed, it ended up in the bin.How anyone can cook meat so badly and charge for these meals is beyond me.Marks out if 10 MINUS 9 I allowed 1 point for free delivery to Tophill.Disgusting takeout AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Popped in on a Wednesday night without booking, no problem for the friendly staff. Lamb dhansak and the mixed Balti were delicious. Very reasonably priced.

Ordered takeaway through just eat. Despite ordering 2 hours in advance food was half hour late (and almost cold) even though only live 1/2 mile from restaurant (would have collected but I'd had a drink). I used to be taxi operator on island and know all routes and one way systems so could not understand why I was last on 6 order delivery list!..... having said that and all credit to the restaurant my husband said the food was amazing and worth the wait(and microwave) so from a food perspective please enjoy This fabulous food... just don't get it delivered!

One of the most expensive Indian restaurants I have been to. Prices 50% more expensive than my favourite Indian restaurants in London which are exceptional. Because of excessively high prices I was expecting great things. Food was below average with lots of ingredients missing to cur corners and to increase their profit. Value for money Zero.

Ordered for delivery. The food came at the time they arranged. Enjoyed food although not as spicy as I expected and slightly salty. Overall good meal.

Ordered a meal for 2 of us. They took the money out of my account but were closed. Tried to call for a week and no response. When I finally got through they didn’t apologise, just offered me either 10% off my next order or a full refund in 2-3 days. I asked for a full refund but here I am over a week later and still no refund. Shocking customer service and run by crooks. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting attitude from owner. I will NEVER order food from them ever again. If I haven’t received my refund by Monday I’m contacting trading standards and the police.

What a fantastic little treasure. We were looking for somewhere to eat on the beach. Most places were closed as it was Monday so we tried here. The guy on the phone was so helpful and they even did some chicken nuggets and chips for my nephew. We ordered their sunset box which was amazing value and so delicious. It was presented in a lovely tray and we were supplied cutlery and napkins. I would highly recommend this place and we hope to return soon for a sit down meal.

Below average tandoori chicken and lamb dansak. Tikka chicken Mahkani( pictured) was not nice at all. Naan bread was good though Ordered takeaway 6th Oct 2020 whilst staying in Portland.
