Bay Royal Weymouth Hotel in Weymouth and Portland

Slightly run-down hotel, although I'm sure it used to be classy. With rotten window frames, cracked ceilings, shoddy plaster and paint work, and mediocre bath rooms its "royal" years are definitely a thing of the past.Excellent location on the boulevard, though, extremely friendly staff, (paid) parking close by, so some positives too.

Excellent experience! Booked a double room for the bank holiday weekend at a really reasonable price. Upon checking in, we asked if there were any rooms with a sea view and amazingly were given a massive room with a balcony looking directly out to sea.The icing on the cake was the unexpected fireworks on the pier that night, which we got to see entirely from the comfort of our room! 10/10 would definitely recommend and will return.

Centrally located, excellent facilities. Our room had a sea view, which we hadn't expected. The decor in the room needed refreshing but the bed and linen were first class. The hot water was abundant with good pressure.

Only there for one night, booked through hotels.com. The hotel itself is in the perfect location, right on the seafront & only a few paces from the beach. However, overall description of the hotel is 'tired' & certainly needs some investment. Spent £155 for a double room which was very small & a bathroom which was poor. Staff great, breakfast amazing!! However, would not stay there again

Amazing location and the reception area is very modern. The rooms are very dated, peeling paint, cracks in walls and the bathroom was very poor. The hotel is also very very hot for no reason when it was 20degrees outside yet all the radiators were up high and breakfast area was so hot couldn't finish eating

Very good but no car parking and the nearest is 10 minutes walk away at 10 Pounds per day which you have to download an app or phone or pay cash every day. Not the hotels fault but would not visit Weymouth again because of this invisible rip off.

This is a lovely hotel, ideally situated in the sea front. The service was excellent. Room was clean an comfortable, but a few stains on the carpet.

What a fabulous weekend! Massive room with views right across the bay. The food was excellent...such a choice at every meal. More importantly, the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Special mention to our young waiter Kyle. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Can't think of a single negative comment to make!

We booked two rooms for a family holiday.The stay was warm, the front desk people are nice.I would recommend a bit of improvement on the services, it would be nice if they have Valley parking (paid one), concierge to take care of the luggage, we would love the restaurant to operate for lunch and dinner (a bit more work is required on the food and beverage side).We will deffently do it again, with hope to improve the services.
