Glad they had Gluten Free batter for the fish and chips and the chips were also GF. The Cod with chips was fantastic and highly recommended along with the homemade tartar sauce. The vegan calamari which was mushroom based was my least favourite, and not recommended as it tasted mostly of fried batter, couldn’t really taste any mushroom. I’d recommend this cute little take away restaurant to anyone seeking good fish and chips.

I can't really fault any chippy who's willing to offer so many vegan and Gluten-free options! Although the chips and banana blossom weren't the best I've had, they were still nice and just having the choice is amazing!!!

Decent chips and mushrooms but a little light on the garlic for the mushrooms. Relatively quick fast food fare from a family owned restaurant. Limited seating.

Went to this chesil chippie place 22- 6- 22 but had a line outside one side for click & collect what ever that was & the other side for normal customers when I got to the door there was another sign don't come in until told to, waited a few minutes but wasn't told to enter. with the only parking a bus stop outside & cod & chips at over £10 now i wasn't going to put up with all that nonsense so drove up to Rays chip shop to see what it was like now new people are running it & it was some of the best fish & chips IV ever had with a reasonable price tag

If you want decent fish and chips on Portland this is the place to go! The food is lovely and well priced, the shop is immaculately clean. Highly recommended 😊

The BEST cod'n'chips I've ever tasted. If I ever have any forgein firends that come to the UK in the future with the idea of trying fish and chips, I want to take them straight here. The pea fritter was out of this world, so fresh and they have mint in them too. Excellent quality, I don't mind the slightly elevated price, you get what you pay for. Wish I lived closer although probably for the best that I don't because I'd spend all of my money there.

Amazing!! Fresh and delicious and incredible vegan options, the king oyster calamari and fried samphire are out of this world, the chips are possibly the best I've had in the UK. Do not go to Portland without stopping here.

Best chippy around! Fresh, flavoursome ingredients, you can taste that they care! Amazing crispy tempura batter... The tempura seaweed is Life

Wow! The vegan menu is incredible and the flavours exceeded our expectations - we tried a selection of vegan options including vegan fish, pea bomb, chips, vegan tartare, a pineapple fritter, and EVERYTHING was delicious. We also had the Dark Chocolate & Salted Caramel Cake which was something you would expect to eat in a fancy restaurant… SO GOOD! We wish it was located closer to our home… worth another trip to Dorset 😊

Very yummy food, had pre ordered and paid well in advance as we knew we wanted to go here so there was a very short wait for the food despite the constant line out of the shop. I had the vegan fish and ship and battered sausage and my partner had meat/fish version. Also had curry and tartar sauce! All was very good for both of us. 100% worth the money (also had pineapple fritter).
